Early in the morning after your breakfast you will drive to Tarangire Park by Land cruiser, crossing the Maasai Steppe on your way to Tarangire National Park, Tanzania’s fourth largest and one of its most diverse. Soon, the impressive Great Rift Valley Escarpment will come into view – a 2,000 foot high wall that rises up, improbably steep and incredibly tall, out of the flat plains. Elephants, Buffalos, pythons are seen easily regularly cross your path, unbothered by your benign presence and going about their daily routines. You’ll meander along bush tracks and explore the Tarangire River’s twists and turns, finding elephant drinking and playing in the refreshing waters. Late this afternoon you’ll arrive at your lodge where you can settle in and relax before dinner and your overnight.

Later in the evening at your lodge, you will be able to settle into your accommodation before joining other travellers in the dining area for some palate teasers in anticipation of a scrumptious meal this evening. Afterwards, gather round the campfire before heading off to bed. Rise early for breakfast before you drive to the Ngorongoro conservation area to spend a half-day exploring the Crater Floor. The area is world-renowned in its reputation and very small in its size. You will definitely see other safari goers. Don’t let that distract you from the beauty of the place or from the fact that this remains one of the only places on earth where you may see all of the big five at once: lion, leopard, Bull Elephant, African Buffalo, and Black Rhino. To maximise your time on the crater floor, you will enjoy a special boxed lunch at a scenic picnic spot. Your journey will take you through this tremendous landscape that is constantly changing as animals move to and fro in search of pasture, water, or prey. After you wake up, you will enjoy a full English breakfast before you go out on a half-day walking/cycling tour. This trip will give you a chance to learn the realities of life in rural and African people in general. Here we will visit bananas, rice, and various orchards and learn more about traditional farming that is still going on in many cities and villages in Africa. We will also walk or ride a bike to see the waterfall, we will go to Lake Manyara to see the rods, and also witness other economic activities going on including natural fishing for hooks, nets, and boats. Along the way, we will also see animals like zebras, other antelopes, buffalos, etc. Various birds like pelicans and flamingos. in the evening we will return to Arusha for overnight at your own plan. If doing the village tour, on the way you will give you a complimentary to visit Maasai boma in Silalei area. If you are not interested in the cultural tour, you can then spend a day visiting Lake Manyara park.
