Overview

Soufrière also called “La Veille Dame” is in fact a relatively young volcano located in the French West Indies; in Guadeloupe.
Its highest peak in the Lesser Antilles peaks at 1467 metres.
Saint-Claude, the highest town in the Lesser Antilles, is the commune through which access to the “Vielle Dame” is the easiest.
On the town grounds, on the slopes of Soufrière, there are baths with hot sulphur water (Les Bains Jaunes) in which you can bathe and relax.
But with the restriction of not plunging your head underwater or you risk being confronted with amoebae.
Thus, the main theme and the main character which is Soufrière, seen “at 360°” or almost.
On this “Shooting tour” we will make various stops which will allow you to relax and take photos of the Souffrière massif which goes from the oldest in the commune of Sainte-(Rose to the southern tip of the island of Basse -land, passing through the slopes of Soufrière via the town of Saint-Claude.

On Sainte-Rose there are sulphur showers in Sofaïa. We will make a stop so you can taste this warm water.
Plage de la Perle

Pearl Beach with a view of the small island “La Perle”. This beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in Guadeloupe, with its sand which takes on different colour tones (from red to grey) depending on the humidity. we will stop there to see the island "la perle", and not far from this beach we will go to the very busy Grande Anse beach to have a snack if you wish at your own expense.
Cascade Le Saut de L'Acomat
