A stroll through the culture district for a warm drink, past some of the most eclectic shopping in the city, then through the heart of city centre to a charming cafe for an starter with culinary styles from Japan and Europe. From there through midtown past the country’s largest independent book shop to one of our famous food cart pods for another shareable dish. We finish with a walk through the financial district to a decadent chocolate sampler dessert. We’ll show you the Portland we love and tell you stories even the locals themselves may not have heard — Portland is an amazing city full of beauty, passion and conflict with a storey around every turn.

In the centre of the cultural district, we'll find all kinds of unique destinations! The city hosts artists and craftspeople in the pop-up shops at Director Park and along SW Morrison Street, and we will visit our favourites and chat about the buildings where they are hosted

Behind The Museum Cafe

Sample tea (or coffee) and art and crafts from Japanese artisans at the wonderful cafe by the same family who keeps the tea house at the famed Japanese Garden

One of the many stops we may visit is a twist on Japanese food. We'll order a few of our favourites to sample.

The extraordinary Powell's City of Books is a must-see destination for visitors and locals alike. We'll introduce you to the famed bookshop and give you time for wandering.

Midtown Beer Garden by Expensify

The food carts at the Midtown Beer Garden are ever-changing, and we will visit a few of our favourites and buy food to sample and share

Pioneer Courthouse Square

We will walk through the financial district and introduce you to some of our favourite secret spots in the Pioneer District as well
