The good: Very popular airport hotel located minutes from the Zürich Airport. Huge all you can eat breakfast. Decent sized rooms, nice comfy beds. Airline personnel love this place. The bad: No airport shuttle from 12:10 until 16:10. Beware of the additional “security charge” of 100CHF added to your credit card during check-in. Charges refunded ONE week later.

BEWARE OF THIS GUYS. The room's air conditioning was not working. We called the front desk a few times, and they replied rudely, "Just open the windows and sleep, and ask for technicians," but nobody showed up. We slept with open windows in the noise of motorway traffic. This is a four-star hotel. I say four times: TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE.

The staff were a letdown. Unfortunately, the flight to Zurich was cancelled an hour before take-off. The hotel was emailed as soon as the next flight was arranged to advise them that the connecting flight would arrive in Zurich the next morning. We could not make a call to Switzerland from the SIM so this was the next best option to keep them in the loop. When arrived at the hotel the next morning; we were advised the room had been cancelled due to "no show" even though they had been emailed the evening prior. There were two additional nights booked here by the tour company we were going with under our name. The only option they gave was to sit in the lobby and wait for the check-in time which was for the additional two nights booked with the tour company. After such a long flight and sitting at airports, this was the last thing we needed. The hotel was emailed weeks in advance to let them know that the 1 extra night was to tag the 2 nights already booked with the tour company and if possible to keep the same room. We requested to speak to the manager to resolve this matter however this was not possible. Also emailed the hotel afterwards raising our concerns and the response received was that it was our fault for not notifying them via phone. Apparently, we were to know that no one attends to the emails on the weekends. Of course, there was no out-of-office email received for this. We were told if you didn't receive a reply straight away then you should have called.

Beware of double payments
The stay was fine. I had prepaid for 2 rooms. I understand they always put a hold on your account, we paid the taxes when we left, and after we left they changed the “hold” to a charge on one room. The other hold fell off, but we are struggling to get this overpayment credited back to my account.

No AC working in such a hot summer. No fans provided. No one answers phone. Only one front desk person for the entire hotel. Old and worn out furniture. I hear guests complaining that front doors not closing. No maintenance available. I had to check in at midnight. And checked out immediately in the morning. Not a good hotel especially for family and will never prefer again.

Lack of assistance for overheated room
Check in went smoothly. It went downhill from there. Got to our room, opened the door and it was like a sauna. Called front desk to have maintenance help. Said they would be right up. 1 1/2 hour later went to front desk to request maintenance. They called again. 1 hour later gave up. Opened the windows on the room and left it at that. Went to the one and only restaurant (ads stated 2 restaurants and a bar) and had a very good sandwich. Spoke with the waitress. She stated the a/c has been broken for 3 weeks, this hotel was the oldest in Zurich and it is scheduled to be demolished in 3 years. Room was good, bed comfortable just couldn’t get the room cool so not much sleep!!!! Assistance on this big issue was nowhere to be found.
