The hotel was an easy walk from the main train station, though there is an uphill/cobblestone section to get to the hotel. All the staff at the hotel were very nice. They had free water in the lobby along with free ice cream, all different flavors. It was fun to pick a new flavor after getting back each night. The mini bar in the room was also free and you could sign up to get free bottles of wine if you didn’t have your room cleaned that day. There is free breakfast which was good and saved money from eating out. The room can get a little stuffy but opening the windows solved that. It wasn’t too hot out but there is a fan in the room. We were on the 1st floor (2nd for us Americans) and it wasn’t loud. The windows blocked a lot of noise. There is also an elevator though it won’t fit more than two people and two medium sized bags. If I come back to Zurich I am definitely going to stay at this hotel. The location is great, near different tram stops and the main train station, the staff friendly, and the rooms nice.

Brilliant!
Stayed here overnight before our flight from Zurich Airport. Very close to the Hauptbahnhof, so ideal on that front. Otherwise this hotel was excellent. The people who work here are brilliant. So helpful and friendly. Our room was very comfortable and well appointed. The breakfast was superb. Lots of choice and the cooked to order eggs were delicious. Ruhrei with herbs is a particular favourite of mine. My wife's soft boiled egg was cooked to perfection too.

The AC is portable too much work to get it going. The safety deposit did not work. I asked the front desk to get it fixed but didn’t do it. The breakfast is great. The free waiter, ice cream and fruits made a difference.

This hotel was poor and I would not recommend a stay here. The location is very central however it is therefore also very noisy. There are people and vehicle noises from outside that will wake you up early in the morning like around 5am. Plus they only have a portable air con with massive tube that you have to put outside the window. This is also very noisy like a washing machine going on all night. Spent two nights here and slept terribly.

Great location, easy walk to Lindenhof, Münsterhof, Grossmünster, river port for a ride on a boat, a lot of shops and restaurants nearby. Room was quite spasious, nice breakfast with choice of freshly cooked eggs and pancakes.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Zucherhof. Ideal location being around a ten minute walk from the station and around a15 minutes walk to the lake. Just back from one of the main thoroughfares on a fately quiet street. Lots of eating options in close proximity to the hotel All the hotel staff were very helpful explaining about the free water and ice cream in reception(always welcome) to the ladies at breakfast. Breakfast provides plenty of options including cooked to order omelettes and other egg options. The rooms are good(no aircon but fan provided) the only slight downside for me was the lift but that didn't detract from our stay.

No air conditioning. Mobile AC in room did not work. Room was extremely warm even with electric fans going. A lot of loud and continuous street noise all night long. Church bells ringing every hour and half hour. Not able to sleep.
