The Arka apartment is a perfect accommodation for those who wish to enjoy a relaxing, luxury experience.
When you arrive to Zagreb, no matter if you’re coming by plane, train or bus, for stays of 3 days or more, we include a free limousine pick-up and drop-off. If you are arriving by car, we will give you all the necessary instructions on how to find us and there will be a free parking space in front of the building. For those who stay with us for 3 nights or more and wish to enjoy a dinner without the kids or have a couple of hours for themselves, we offer two hours of free child care per visit provided by the leading national babysitting agency. Any extra hours can be arranged with additional charges of 10 EUR per hour with 2 hours minimum charge.
Once you spend a good night in Zagreb, can you imagine waking up to the scent of fresh homemade bread, coffee and fruit in the morning? In the apartment you can find everything you need: if you wish to make bread, just put the ingredients in the bread baker the night before and set the timer to have a fresh bread ready in the morning; if you prefer a fruity, protein breakfast, you can prepare healthy shakes in 2 minutes with fresh fruit and proteins also provided; and if you cannot imagine a morning without coffee, we have a coffee machine so it can be prepared instantly! If you wish to stay in, you can enjoy watching movies, series or cartoons on a flat-screen Smart TV and free Netflix Premium, and if you forgot or didn’t bring your computer, you can use the wireless keyboard and the TV as one. We offer free optical Wi-Fi (200 Mbps), and if you wish to make free EU and local calls there is a landline phone for your usage. For our visitors with children, we offer a Kindle Fire with a lot of games and videos for online learning and entertainment.

General Description
Arka is a one-bedroom 60m² apartment situated in a quiet street in the Zagreb city centre. It is on the first floor of a 5-story apartment building and free parking is available in front of the building. It consists of a kitchen, living room, bedroom, bathroom and two balconies.
Kitchen
The kitchen is all ready for your stay with your family and kids, since it is fully equipped with all the necessary appliances, including a large fridge (with a full-sized freezer), oven and stove (gas and electrical), microwave oven, kettle, toaster, Krups coffee machine, blender and bread baker. If you have small kids, there is also a high chair for them.
Living room
The living room offers you a perfect spot to take a break from sightseeing and other activities around the city. It has a large sectional sofa which can also be spread out as a bed for two. You can relax while watching TV as the kids have fun on Kindle Fire or just gather over a cup of coffee with your friends.
Bedroom
The spacious bedroom enables you get a good-nights rest in a double bed (180x200 cm) with hypoallergenic pillows, a cotton/bamboo quilt and cotton satin sheets; and a premium Stokke baby crib with cotton sheets and also a hypoallergenic pillow and a cotton/bamboo quilt. If you need to get ready to go out, there is a make-up table in the bedroom, as well as a large closet (5 m). The light in the room is controlled by remote so you can adjust the brightness and shade, as well as set up a timer for turning it off.
Bathroom
The bathroom has a lot of space and a washer and dryer for those who are staying longer with us or who just happen to need it.
Bathrobes, towels, slippers, linen, toiletries, clothes detergent and softener are provided free of charge.
Balconies
The two balconies offer you a chance to enjoy a lovely cup of coffee outside, as one of the balconies has garden furniture – two chairs and a table, while the other one is larger and can be used for barbecuing (an electric grill is available for usage).
Services
If you want to be carefree about the daily cleaning or doing the laundry and ironing, we can arrange it for you with additional charges of 20 EUR per day.
As a special offer, we provide our guests with golf clubs (male, female and kids’ sizes).
Neighborhood
A 10-minute walk from the apartment takes you down to Kvaternik square, where you can enjoy several coffee shops, restaurants, shopping at Kvaternik Plaza, or grab a tram to get to the city center which is only four tram stops away! A five-minute tram ride to the east takes you to Maksimir, the biggest park in Zagreb where you can enjoy wonderful walks in nature or visit the zoo. Additionally, you have direct tram lines that take you to the central railway station (tram line 4) and the bus station (tram lines 5 and 7). There are also 9 bus lines from Kvaternik square which can take you to different parts of the town, including directly to the airport (bus line 290).
There is a closer bus stop 200 m away from the apartment where you can catch a bus every 25 minutes (bus line 201) which takes you directly to the shopping center Kaptol in the upper town in 10 minutes. If you need a grocery store, there are two within 200m of the apartment.
To do and visit
The apartment is located in a very vibrant neighborhood, near Kvaternik Square, called Kvatrić (Kvatrich). A 10-minute walk from the apartment takes you to the lovely square filled with flower shops, cafes, restaurants and one of the best cakes and pastry shops in Zagreb, Vincek. Just around the corner is the popular local food market with daily fresh fruit, vegetables and other products. For those who like shopping, Kvaternik Plaza is on the east side of the square. Kvatrić is the perfect place to feel the spirit of Zagreb.
Since there are many bus and tram lines passing here, it is also a perfect starting point for visiting some of Zagreb’s most famous sights, such as St. Mark’s Church, the Cathedral, Dolac market, Lotrščak Tower, botanical garden, Maksimir Park or the Lake Jarun, and some of over 20 museums and galleries. Did you know that Zagreb has some of the most unusual museums, such as the Museum of Broken Relationships, Museum of Illusions, Mushroom Museum and Tortureum – Museum of Torture.
You can join several bus tours around the center of the city, or walk tours through the upper city or use the public bike system, Nextbike, to create your own tour. If you are into hiking, you can visit Mt. Medvednica (north of Zagreb) and the famous Medvedgrad castle, or even go to Sljeme, which is the highest peak of Medvednica (for those who would only like to enjoy a great view, you can take a bus ride from the city which takes about 30-40 minutes).
