Superb holiday accommodation. Charlie’s Barn is a stunning barn conversion set in the heart of the Yorkshire Wolds.
A recently renovated one bedroom barn with central heating, oak beamed ceiling and bright open living space. Ideal for couples. There is a sofa bed for 2 children or 1 adult (a tight squeeze but doable!) but please note that access to the bathroom is via the bedroom! Guests should be aware that the barn is designed to cater for two people as a rule. (additional fee applies for over 2 guests) A compact hand made kitchen with full oven, Belfast sink and fridge, comfy living room area with dining table in front of a charming window seat.
Outside there is a small south facing secure court yard, with your own private access.
Off street parking in a courtyard directly outside your barn. Secure bike storage so guests can bring their own bikes.
A utility area with washing machine and cleaning equipment is located in the garage. This area is shared with our other holiday let.
Access is up a very steep drive. Unsuitable for wheelchair users.
Other things to note
If you’ve got little ones, there’s no need to worry: a high chair, baby bath and a cot (please bring your own bedding) are available for your use. Please contact if needed.

Book The Cart shed for extra space. The Cartshed is a large bedroom with super king size bed and ensuite and has it's own private access. The average cost per night is £70

One well behaved dog allowed (extra cleaning fee of £40 paid at the end of your stay)
PLEASE MESSAGE ME BEFORE BOOKING YOUR DOG. There will be times when our dog is in season. Unfortunately we will have to refuse 'intact' male dogs until we can predicted her seasons (she is a shocking tease and will send your boy wild!)
Guests dog must get on with other dogs as ours will want to say hello! The courtyard is private and secure (for cocker spaniel sized dogs!)
Please bring your own dog bed. We politely ask that dogs are kept off the furniture and are not left unattended.

Short break in North Yorkshire
Charlie's Barn is a gem of a find. This was exactly what we were looking for. Just under 12 miles from York so it was convenient for us to visit our son at the University. The barn itself was tastefully decorated, had all we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was ideal as a base to explore other areas in North Yorkshire. It was dog-friendly, a plus point for us, and we loved the fact that it had a little enclosed courtyard for our dog to go outside securely. The hosts were friendly and helpful in recommending places to eat. Highly recommended!
