We had a great visit. Everything we needed was available. Fans in every room kept the rooms cool enough on a warm day. Communication and quick responses was very much appreciated when we had a couple of questions. As visitors from the states experiencing England for the first time, it was a great surprise that we could see the York City Wall and Ice House Building right from the balcony. Visitors should know that there is a popular pub right next door that can be clearly seen from the balcony but not inside the apartment. Noise was never an issue and the doors and windows were insulating that when shut, we couldn’t hear anything from outside. We stopped over at the pub for another good time. Overall, a great property and experience.

Excellent apartment (no. 4)
This was a short but amazing stay at the apartments. The service before arrival was great and everything was explained in detail so we could just arrive, dump the bags and get going in York. The apartment (no 4) was so good, that we are thinking of booking another trip to York and will certainly stay here. Everything you need, inc some salt and paper which is always good!

The location was absolutely fantastic. Others have complained about noise from the beer garden below and while it could be heard I wouldn’t say it disturbed us and it’s the living area which is positioned there, rather than the bedrooms. The apartment was really clean and had everything you could’ve needed. It was a little on the small side and I think we’d have felt this if our stay had been for any longer than one night. Some lovely little extras left for us on arrival.

Apartment 7 is located directly above a beer garden. Impossible to open windows due to smoke and noise. This is not made clear in photographs or apartment description. It’s is not open green space behind apartment as shown on official photographs.

Floor space was pretty decent, however head space is limited to a 6 foot strip down the center of the property. The walls are only about 3 feet high, then they slope inwards. Those skylights you see in the pictures are at head height, and I'm under 6 feet. Second problem was that the toilet seat is not attached properly. Use extreme caution to avoid being pitched off the side while dropping a log.
