Unlike any b&b we have stayed at before and the outside staircase to our room was a bit unnerving for us older folks.
The rooms were clean and tidy and the shower was simple to operate.
We had breakfast in the separate attached Indian restaurant which was beautifully laid out with linen taken clothes. We even had table service which was a welcome change from the modern trend of all buffet service and breakfast was served order. Excellent.
The only problem we had was in finding it due to the building of the new A303 by pass, the road layout by the bandb being most confusing.
The room was dirty, the heating didn't work so it was very cold, we couldn't get blankets, staff were really unhelpful/rude. Really one of the worst hotels I've stayed in. We were on our way to Cornwall for a holiday, and it really was the worst possible start. The only good thing is it's proximity to the road.
Check in was done over the phone, once inside the room the furniture was a little tired & dusty, one unit the veneer was almost off the top. the mattress was very springy and of poor quality. the onsuite had hairs in the sink and a little bit of pee on the toilet seat. The TV was old & small and kept picking up interference from the mobile phone signal, which made it annoying to watch. Was it worth £60 for the night, no it wasn't especially after we'd been in a premier inn the night before for only £35 and the difference in quality and cleanliness was worlds apart. Luxury double it was most certainly not. Also couldn't work out the 3 lamps situation.
Checked in late as it said 24hr. Restaurant next door had the keys. Then left to let ourselves in. Rooms smelled of bleach and damp. Beds were super cheap and felt like lying on the bare springs. TV remotes were bigger than the screen and needed a PhD in electronic engineering to figure out how to work the remotes including having to swap batteries from one to the other.
In the morning we were apprehensive but hungry for breakfast which is advertised as inclusive of the room rate, only to be greeted with a sign saying the bistro is temporarily closed. How convenient. Would have gone to the premier inn a mile up the road if we'd known the inclusive breakfast was just bait.
Entirely unmanned and devoid of charm. 4 stars must be referring to the breakfast we didn't get.

Room was changed on the day,and breakfast was cancelled due to chef unavailability. And there were no towels in the bathroom.
On arrival the room was freezing cold as there had been no heating on. Took best part of 2 hours for it to finally warm up.
The bathroom heater didn’t work at all so wasn’t pleasant getting in and out of the shower.
Went out for the evening to came back to a rapidly cooling room and in the morning it was freezing as they had turned the heating off again. (Beginning of December).
The bin hadn’t been emptied and the WiFi and tv didn’t work.
Very quick to assist when requiring assistance when we needed the heating on and another cup.
Found the traffic noisy as the double glazing did not keep the noise out very well
Good cheerful professional service from Saed.
Room 5 twin room and bathroom were spacious, clean, warm - cotton sheets, bathroom cosmetics - powerful shower and good hospitality tray.
