Stayed in the cabins. Reasonably clean. No TV or Fridge in the cabin. WiFi worked. Great location in center of the park. No central, complementary coffee station at the main building and food/drink places open 0630 onwards, which is late for those looking to catch early morning wildlife,…
Great location, cabins are nice, lodges look more modern, laundry available! Food is limited as at most Yellowstone properties! Recommend for the convenience alone!

Disliked: Amenities
Very basic hotel. You can hear everything from adjacent rooms. It's ok to stay a night or two if you want to stay inside the park.
Food options are very poor.
The property was fantastic, staff was excellent. Very polite and always helpful…only complaint was the parking, or lack thereof. Because of this, lots of vehicles were clearly parked in handicapped parking. The food was ok, also.
We stayed in one of the newly renovated building lodge buildings. It had everything we needed. please note - this facility does not offer air conditioning. It was cool the we were 45-75 degrees F) so it was not an issue for us. They did have fans in the rooms.
Rooms are on the smaller size , but worked well for our family of 3.
Extremely convenient for us to get to Lamar Valley, Roosevelt, Canyon, 1/2 hour from Jackson Lake/ Fishing Bridge.
Food/Groceries/Welcome center are a very short drive or walk at the next complex. Gas station there as well.
WiFi and cell service were spotty.
I am very glad we chose this location
Loved that Canyon Lodge was centrally located, quiet, safe,. Room was clean. I didn't like that it took 2 days for them to get us a fan that worked. Also when I asked if there was a doctor available they just said :"no". I persisted and called back again later and found out that there was a clinic that closed at eight nearby. I barely made it in time to get antibiotic for my dental emergency.
Overall good and convenient Location for both the Canyon and Hayden Valley. Would have appreciated a larger fridge. No Elevator. Small cafe in registration area was handy, fresh coffee and they have breakfast sandwiches they heat up for you, muffins, Naked Fruit Juices, etc…. Not a restaurant so lower your expectations but a great option for quick breakfast and coffee before your day in the park! Canyon area shopping and food choices are close too. Can walk to Canyon hiking trail as well if you want.
Cabins are kind of old and not really well cleaned. I guess it has to do with them being old too, giving people a feeling that they are not clean. The carpet is really old.
We had the cabin. The cabin was quite dated and doesn't have some amenities that most hotels have, such as a TV and microwave. Looking more closely at the description they don't say it comes with it, so perhaps I should have paid more attention but for the price you would think items like that would be available.
The bed and sheets are cheap and uncomfortable.
The location is great though, and that is what you are paying for. But I wish they would upgrade the place some.
