Nearby there is Worksop, Sheffield, and Chesterfield, all offering fantastic buildings and lots to do. Take a trip to Sherwood Forest National Park, where you can follow the trails amongst the glades, or take part in a spot of birdwatching. Creswell Crags is the home of the prehistoric man and is somewhere nice to visit, being an enclosed limestone gorge on the border between Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.
