Paper thin walls and floors.
You can hear everything going on in the room above yours. It being a family hotel, we could hear the kid above running around until midnight and begin again at 7am. We called the front desk to ask if they could ask them to reduce the banging and it just got worse from there.

Mark at the front desk was very warm and welcoming! He made our check in and out process quick and easy, and the breakfast was really good. I made myself a chocolate chip waffle and my partner had pancakes and eggs.

Someone burnt something while cooking in their room and the fire alarm went off at midnight. In meeting another couple in the hallway while we were exiting the hotel, they indicated that this happened twice during their stay 2 weeks ago. I also found used crack pipe in the pull out couch. One positive was the breakfast stayed open when we arrived downstairs at 9am (I misread the letter and thought it was open until 10am) The server was very pleasant and accommodating.
