The front desk was fabulous. We were disappointed with our room. The carpet smelled really bad. We were told that we were in a room on a floor that didn’t allow pets but the carpet did smell like it had dogs in it many times before. The breakfast we had in the restaurant was excellent.

I thought booking at a Holiday Inn would be a safe bet. This hotel is very aged and not well kept. The bathroom door in our room didn't close, because the door was too big for the frame. The TV remore was very dirty and had visible dirty areas and it was sticky. This is a 2-star hotel (at best), charging 4-star rates.

To our disappointment, the pool and hot tub were closed. Sign said Oct 25 to Nov 5. Had we known this, would not have booked. This should have been disclosed when we booked during the known closure. Feel this was a deception.

Price was good but just an average stay. Outside was a bit dirty but that is due to homeless people around the area. My car was still fine at the property and there was security present. At times property was messy inside. Staff were fine. If the price is good it is fine but if it goes up I would avoid.

At check in time, our rooms were changed from two queen beds to a king and pull out sofa. But we weren’t given any bedding or pillows for the pull out sofa. The front desk seemed very confused when we asked any questions, whether it was bedding, where the vending machines were (there aren’t any despite the signs posted on the floors), pool hours (told 9pm at check in when it was 11pm). The floor in the pool area was covered in brown liquid, which we were hoping was rust from the chairs being moved around and there were only 2 pool towels available. As someone who worked in hotels for 15 years I was really disappointed and could tell all the staff need training!

Could not check at 3 due to room not clean. When we did get into our room it was still dirty. We requested a king with sofa when we booked and received 2 double beds. Broken toilet holes in the curtains. Could not control the temperature of room due to missing controls.
