Amazing Race Mill Lodge!

Mill Race Magic
We were in Wimberly for a magical weekend to celebrate our daughters’s wedding to her fiancé. Our son and his family with two children stayed at Mill Race Lodge. We loved the game room and outdoor pool, trampoline for the kids. The adults especially enjoyed the beautiful art collection and the chefs kitchen and the feeling of a magical experience. Mill Race Staycation
We had a wonderful stay at this perfectly located property on Cypress Creek! The property is situated within two minutes of either the town square or the local HEB, and you're only 5-10 minutes from nearby breweries and wineries. The house has a great outdoor setting, with a fire pit and plenty of seating -- there's also a large table down by the creek to sip your morning coffee and ease into the day. The bedrooms are large and great for families old and young, and there's a large gameroom upstairs that has air hockey, foosball and a large TV. The best part is the pool out front that we spent a lot of time at! Even though the pool is out front, there is very little traffic on this street and so you have a sense of privacy anyway. Well-stocked kitchen and we took full advantage of both it and the grill outside. Recommend this place highly!

Outstanding lodge, fine furniture, propane full, very clean and what was even better is the owner. He wants you to be happy and enjoy. Beautiful and well shaded backyard with lit concrete steps and side walk to and around the creek. Easy fishing and floating. Pool area is also nice and a great place to tan.

Relaxing Summer Fun
We had an amazing time at the Mill Race Lodge! Everything was as expected - in fact better than expected! It was a hot summer getaway and the creek levels were a little low given the drought, but no worries, the pool and home afforded all we needed to enjoy a lovely mix of the outdoors and A/C! Stargazing in the pool was a personal favorite, and the home was perfect for 3 sets of adults to have plenty of space on our own and then to come together for games, movies, and relaxing. Charles was great to communicate with and very accommodating, and I’d highly recommend this home! Thanks for everything, Charles!

The best family vacation we've had in a long time
Our stay at Mill Race Lodge was wonderful. The house is large and charming and sits on the grassy banks of a lovely stretch of Cypress Creek, shaded by live oaks and cypress trees. The house had everything needed for our family to relax, play, and swim. It was beautiful inside and out. We all loved it and highly recommend it.

Our favorite Texas Vacation Home!
This was our third time to stay at this great place! The cabin is decorated beautifully. The creek and big trees make the picture perfect setting! There is more to do here than any other place we've stayed.There is the pool, trampoline, ping pong, basketball goal, kayaks and canoe for the creek. Then there are many things to do in the gameroom, movies, Foosball etc. There is even the microwave for making popcorn! In the backyard the firepit is a great addition! What a great place to sit and enjoy the wonderful view! The little town of Wimberly has some very good places to eat and fun shops. There are other activities like zip lining.We will be back again!!! Great communication with Charles the host and owner of this great place! He has always been very kind and helpful!

Simply stunning
What an amazing place to spend a weekend (or a lot longer). Spotlessly clean, centrally located (yet out of the hustle and bustle) and so well equipped. Even with rain for our first 36 hours, the place just worked - lots to do for the kids in the games room and great leather couches to just cuddle up with a glass of wine. Would love to come back in high summer to enjoy the river. Firepit was great. Thanks agains for amazing stay - we will be back.

Gorgeous Property and Great Location!
We cannot say enough wonderful things about this beautiful home and host! Charles went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable during our long weekend in Wimberley! The house is well appointed and comfortable; lots of towels, dishes and comfortables places to relax! The pool is perfect for cooling off and the backyard has a gorgeous view of the creek. I would absolutely recommend this property to family and friends and we will be back!

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING EXPERIENCE!
Before I decided on a property, I read all of the reviews on this one which were excellent of course but really none of them do this property justice. The house is BEAUTIFUL, immaculately kept, and incredibly clean. It's like you have walked back in time in the most beautiful way...so many classic books in bookshelves, antique furniture, and a really amazing home-like feel. When staying at this property, it really feels like you are staying at a dear friend's house...there are so many amenities and there is literally everything you can imagine needing right there. The kids had a really good time on the tree swing outside, the pool was beautifully kept and was a great place to spend our afternoons. Out in the back is an amazingly gorgeous view with provided tubes, kayaks, and more for the kids to enjoy. We got to see armadillo, an entire family of deer, hummingbirds, and just the peaceful serene beauty of the atmosphere around us. The check-in process was seamless and Mr. Duggan was very responsive to any texts and communication. The kids absolutely loved the game room with Wii, XBox, lots of family board games, an amazing DVD collection, foos ball, and so much more. They were NEVER bored and most definitely did not want to leave! After the kids went to bed, it was really nice to curl up in one of the leather chairs and enjoy reading a few books from the plethora of titles as well as the piano there which I hadn't played in years, but found myself enjoying again. Overall, this is an amazing property with so much to do and so much to experience for all ages. I would highly recommend this property and this experience to ANYONE wanting to stay in beautiful Wimberley. It's only 0.4 miles from the Square so we got to enjoy the shopping and restaurants as well right there! My family had a wonderful time here and we will be returning again!

Wonderful Family Vacay!
Mill Race Lodge is hands down the best spot to vacation in Wimberley! I have 4 teens that live with their phones and games in their hands. THEY PUT THE ELECTRONICS DOWN! The house was beautiful and spacious as well as the property! There was plenty to keep us all actively doing something: fishing, relaxing in the tubes, strolling down the creek in kayaks or on paddle boards, taking a dip in the pool, movies, books, board games and more! We will be booking again next summer!
