We had a great stay. The staff is absolutely WONDERFUL at this location. From the time of check-in the the check-out, the staff truly was wonderful. The breakfast crew was one of the nicest groups of people. I truly enjoyed seeing their smiling faces. Also, the breakfast spread was definitely above others that I’ve had. They had the typical things, but also had things that I’ve never seen at a hotel breakfast area, such as overnight oats, chia pudding, different style potatoes each morning, some flavorful options to add to your breakfast. Would definitely stay again. Only downside is that they now have a $250 security deposit.

Suite was quiet. There were spots on the carpet. The cleaning solution made the entryway and kitchen area very tacky. Shoes sticking. Could not walk on with socks or bare feet. Rooms were neat and bed made up every two days of stay. Bathroom and bedroom area clean. Would stay there again.

Good quality for the price/ shower issues
I picked Newark due to its ideal location between lacrosse tournaments in Philly area, and Bel-Air, MD area. Good in between. It was also reasonably priced compared to other hotels. The shower was leaky and kept us up at night. The shower pressure was also very weak and is not very modern. The rest of the hotel and our room were great!

Hilton brand? They'd be embarrassed.
Hard to imagine how this Homewood would pass the inspections of any Hilton branded hotel. "Maintenance required" is an understatement. Some things are downright gross - sticky icky floor in kitchenette, 24/7 dripping bathroom faucet and mildewed drain, shower curtain smells like sour milk (bath fan doesn't work so it doesn't dry), stained couch cushions and no hot water for 3 days - tepid at best. We had two rooms and both were bad so issues not isolated to one room. Two stars - one for location, and one for bed which seemed clean and did not sag. Stay elsewhere if you can.

Surprisingly very nice!
This was a surprisingly nice hotel. It looks old from the pictures, but was super clean and a very large room! Breakfast was great too! I would definitely stay here again!
