A charming hotel
We had a delightful stay at the General Denver. The front desk clerk and the elevator operator were kind, cheerful, and helpful -- and we loved the "oldest operating original elevator in Ohio." We also enjoyed the snacks available in the vending room, the celebratory activities going on in the restaurant, and the very convenient location, just around the corner from the beautifully refurbished Murphy Theatre with its special festivities. We were sorry not to be able to stay longer!

Check in person was not very friendly. Restaurant food was AMAZING, but short staffed so server was overwhelmed. Still did a great job and young hostess was amazing. Mid aged woman working front not so nice.

We loved our suite. Even though it has been up graded for the betterment of the guest it still has so many antiques and older surroundings that makes it aged to perfection. Will recommend to anyone heading that way.

It was unique because of the 'old hotel' look/atmosphere but everything was up to date (except maybe the elevator, but usually there was a staff member to operate it if you needed a lift).

Easy check in/out. A lovely restaurant on site, as well as brewery's and restaurants in close proximity. It's a lovely classic hotel.

Our room was nice and the hotel appeared well maintained and clean. The continental breakfast exceeded expectations. The staff was very nice. Issues : The elevator requires an attendant who is often unavailable and we were in the fourth floor! Also, the restaurant has limited hours.-

The junior suite exceeded our expectations: 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a lovely sitting room. The service in the bar was a little slow but the drinks were good. The food was fine but nothing memorable. Our server was exceptional and personable. Iā€™d stay at the hotel again. It was lovely and priced reasonably.

The staff was very welcoming , there is a beautiful charm to the proprty . The restaurant and bar was excellent , food was delicious . I recommend the bison burger šŸ‘šŸ‘. There was live entertainment by Dumbfounded , great classic rock band .

The history of the property is nice to know and the unique elevator is very interesting. It is not always available but the hotel is very nice.

No elevator after 8 pm not enough plac to sit in room had to use bed for setting no place to unpack clothes bath room had step up with no night light had to haul luggage down 4 floors by hand not a hotal suitable for sr folks no restaurants in walking distance would not stay again at this hotel cont breakfast was not much and only had two seats and small table prob most uncomfortable stay in many years sorry but not my choice of place to stay for the price or comfort
