The room was clean, the location- nice, breakfast was okay, but the staff was not organized (one person says one thing, the second-another). It looked like they do not know what they are doing. When we checked out, they said that we did not owe anything; however, later they ripped us off with the unreasonably bill and we have no idea what this bill is for. They refused to explain anything because we paid for the hotel via Expedia; therefore, they suggested we should talk to the Expedia’s customer service which is promised us to call the hotel and get back to us within 72 hours. It happened seven days ago and we still do not have any clarification. It took me about four hours today to get to Expedia customer service without any success. Two nights stay in a three- star hotel cost us more than three nights in a five- star hotel. I recommend neither this hotel nor Expedia. Stay away from both if you don’t want stress in your life.

We loved staying so close to the Williamsburg historical area that we could walk everywhere. Beautiful grounds, very comfortable accommodations, super friendly staff. So happy that we chose The Woodlands!

Loved the townhouse option to accommodate 7 people on three floors. Note that the three bedrooms share only 2 bathrooms and one of the floors had no bathroom. Therefore, that floor was not suitable for a senior couple who ended up staying in the open-space, sleeping on the opened couch on a floor which had a bathroom, shared with the bedroom on that floor.

The stay was nice. The staff was very friendly. The hotel was accommodating for our dog. The rooms were clean and the hotel was quiet. The continental breakfast was perfect every morning. The location made everything walkable and parking was plentiful. It was a very safe location.

This hotel is very convenient to Colonial Williamsburg, the visitor center is basically connected. The breakfast was surprisingly good for continental. Our only issue was we did not have hot water in our shower any of the 3 nights we stayed. We did not complain, just took quick showers. I would give a better rating if not for that.

Horror hotel
Horror hotel very bad experience checked in last night our room looked like they didn't change sheets on bed bugs in the bathroom shower wall huge lump in the mattress . Couldn't shower cause the drainage had toilet paper in it... No bags in garbage baskets horrible will not be staying there again especially for that high price also and I have photos to go along with my bad experience me and my husband.
