The property itself is nice.. however if you’re not driving, transportation ( taxis) is expensive. The hotel offers a shuttle service in the morning to three locations and local transportation is accessible, which will save you a pretty penny. The rooms are spacious, staff professional not that friendly. There’s some room for improvement in the housekeeping department. My final night I went out onto the verandah to watch the water fountain show and noticed some coffee stains on the coffee table and hair that isn’t mine which means that area was not cleaned after the previous guest.

Acoya resort was a hit and miss all week. Checking was Good, we asked for washed cloths that same night and told they don't have wash cloths, next day asked again, we were told yes we have them 3 days later at 11pm we got them. We prepaid for Breakfast and told them we won't be eating on sunday Were told a breakfast box will be Available to take with us and When we went to get our box they refused theytold us we Would have to wait. Until 7 am, but we informed them the night before we We’re leaving at 6:30am for our excursion. We did not Get any breakfast,there were no exception no accommodations at all we were told they have to take pictures of the food and we would hav to wait the manager knew we were coming to get a breakfast box to go and she still refused to give us the breakfast even after we were told we were all set the night before. The wouldn’t issue us a refund because the told us that the would be providing breakfast to go That was a lie. Also, The free shuttle bus, is a limited time 9-2 the driver showed up at 9:30 and could only take 4 people at the time and You have to find you way back to the resort after 2pm It gives you no time to enjoy the beach and surrounding areas .cabanas were dirty and unkept.pool chairs limited cushions. the chairs were extremely hot no cushions Some staff members were rude. No good lighting In the room, beds extremely small. Patio could be cleaner No mirrors only over the sink. Iron was broken.

I had a 4 night stay at ACOYA as first time, this was very pleasant. Staff was very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. I would recommend this hotel for future stays. Unfortunately I wanted to extend my stay but the hotel was fully booked.
