We arrived at 3 PM which was our check-in time but the woman at the desk said she didn’t think our room was ready because she had not heard from housekeeping yet. Basically said all we could do was wait because she couldn’t give us a room yet. Needless to say it didn’t start out well. I’m not sure why she didn’t offer to call housekeeping. She did state that she could upgrade us to a king suite, but since we booked our room through a third-party, it wouldn’t let her do that so we were out of luck. Why even tell me that? It just made me a little more pissed off. All in all the room was decent. But starting to get a little worn looking. All in all it was a good stay and all of the staff I ran into were super sweet and helpful. Probably would’ve write things better. Had they not started off on the wrong foot?

Great location, comfortable hotel. The only problem was the use of highly scented cleaners or air fresheners. I have allergies and a fragrance sensitivity so I had sinus pain all night. I like clean but I don't like perfume-y.

I gave the hotel 3 stars because for a Hampton our room was a little tired and dated. I actually upgraded to a king studio and I don’t think it was as modern as the usual king bed we get. Water not quite hot enough in the shower, still the tub shower combination. The room was roomy and clean. The hallway down by the outside door had quite a bit of leaves blown in. We didn’t stay for breakfast but the coffee was good. The price point was good this time. I’ve checked before and it’s been doubled and more.
