The Old Bakery is a 2 bedroom cottage in town, with courtyard and is a short stroll to the beach

The Old Bakery is a beautiful 2 bedroom holiday home with the charm of the original building such as the high ceilings to let lots of light in and open brick work. Centrally situated in the high street but set back, nestled between 2 shops and a short walk to the beach. The cottage has a downstairs bathroom, open plan kitchen diner and stunning brick work front room with smart TV that leads onto a secluded patio courtyard with outside dining.

You check in using a key box code. I am however local to the area, so if you need anything or have any questions, I am only a phone call away and a short drive!

Centrally located but tucked away behind some of the many shops Whitstable has to offer. There are lots of restaurants and cafes to choose from, cooking up the wonderful local delicacies, such as fresh fish from the historic working harbour. The road to the beach or a spot of tennis is just round the corner from the property.

You have access to all areas in the property.

The modern bathroom off the entrance hall comprises of a WC, basin and a shower over bath, perfect to soak away after a day of exploring. The open plan fully equipped kitchen seats 4 people comfortably at the dining table which makes it a great entertaining place. Walk through the large archway to the comfortable living room which looks out to the french doors to the courtyard, perfect for eating alfresco. The 2 bedrooms upstairs have a double and twin beds.

There is free street parking on the roads off Oxford Street but directly outside the property there are double yellow line. The nearest paid parking is Shaftesbury Road car park and on the weekends and school holidays there is a charity car park a couple of doors down at the primary school. You can view the charges on the Canterbury City Council website. Parking can be limited in the high season but once you have parked up, you are close enough to walk into town, beach, shops etc.

You can also visit the 'Just Park' website to find out where to park in Whitstable.

There are frequent buses running from Whitstable to Herne Bay and Canterbury. You will find bus stops along Harbour Street, High Street, Oxford Street etc.

The trains from Whitstable station will take you to Ramsgate or further afield to London. Whitstable Train Station is about a 10 minute walk to the town centre.

Whitstable Taxi services are available for short fares or airport runs.

The nearest airports are in London and the nearest Ferry port is in Dover.

No smoking.
Please refrain from letting pets upstairs and on the furniture.
No perking immediately outside the property as double yellow lines but free street parking in neighbouring roads

Great location walkable to the seafront and all shops and restaurants, so a great base to see Whitstable from. Property is well equipped with modern facilities, was a great place for our dog with the private rear garden. On the Saturday night there was some very loud music nearby, which we were OK with but it's worth bearing in mind since you are in a very central location in town. Parking was tricky, local roads were very busy every day but we managed to find a space and then didn't move the car! Not a fault of the property, just something to consider. Overall we'd recommend the property for anyone wanting to be in the heart of Whitstable and also great for a dog friendly location!
