A wonderful throwback
We were first struck by the ambiance of this period hotel, dating back almost 100 years. We were greeted by a very friendly staff member on check-in and were told where to find what we might need, including nearby restaurants and shops. Coffee was available any time with a Keurig, but when I needed a cup of hot water the same man got it for me. We couldn't find the t.v. remote, and one was immediately supplied. The bed was comfortable, as was the sitting room. We will definitely return to Hotel Coolidge if in the area again.

Great old hotel vibe. Definitely not your cookie cutter hotel. Easily can feel like you are transported to a diffrent time. Rooms with high ceilings, exposed pipes, beautiful old wallpaper, creaky floors, grand staircase. Room was very clean. Bed very comfortable. Checkin was easy, excellent, knowledgeable and friendly staff. Complementary coffee,tea and hot chocolate in lobby. Great food nearby. Walkable distance to train station. Will definitely stay there again!

We are always happy with our stays at Coolidge Hotel. Charming, cosy, quiet and in such a special Vermont town with character and great restaurants. The staff are wonderful and helpful, and the rooms are well-kept.

The Hotel Coolidge was such a cozy and relaxing place. From the lobby to each floor’s landing and the room itself, everything about this place is a fun trip through history. The kids loved it and wanted to roam the whole building looking at everything closely and asking questions about the things they found from various points in time. My step daughter especially enjoyed the scavenger hunt for the little creature Knick knacks around the room and throughout the hallways. The staff was friendly, accommodating and very quick with everything. Very happy with our stay.

The proprietor was curt but pleasant. The bed were hard and squeaky. The walls were paper thin and you could hear everything going on in the hallway. I’m not sure however what other places there were to stay. It was good enough for the one night we stayed there.

Despite the hotel having some character about it I would not recommend it if you are looking for a good nights sleep. The floorboards creeped all night long as other guests moved along the hallways. Their voices were easily heard from within our room. The bed was very soft and uncomfortable.

The hotel is an historic gem. As such, the building has aged. There are no level floors, the bed is on a slant, but the worst is the steam heat. When that came on at 10:30pm, the noise drove us out of the hotel.

Definitely OLD historical building that is showing its 100 year old age. No updates at all with swaying floors that squeak with every step. If you’re looking for an old time nostalgic stay- this is it. Sweet, well intentioned staff, but don’t quite know what’s going on…quite an adventure!

Too expensive for what you get. Breakfast was supposed to be included but you only get a ticket worth $ 4.50 per person redeemable at one of the three restaurants on the same street. So you get a coffee and pay the rest of your breakfast!

Wonderful
The hotel is built in the 19th century. Very spacious rooms. Comfortable beds. I slept very well on them. Great location. Near the gorge, covered bridges and not far from the town of Woodstuck. Highly recommend!
