I was told to go to the back end of building to enter and it wasn't well lit. Also the back door is unlocked allowing anyone off the street to enter. The carpet on stairs could use cleaning. I booked at least 2 months in advance but yet was given a room upstairs and I think it was only because it was later when we checked in. The room was clean and the bed slept well. The breakfast had several options for continental.

It was a lovely place.. room very clean. Only note.. there is no elevator so taking all of our luggage upstairs was a big challenge. The drive into West Yellowstone is about 10ish miles which we were fine with. Would stay again if a first floor room was guaranteed.

Mattress pad and fitted sheet could not stay in place on the bed. One would surmise, after paying $235+ for a room, the mattress pad and fitted sheet would be practically serviceable to stay on the bed. This place is trash. Will never return. Yellowstone lodge was $10 more in price, and infinitely better on bedding/comfort.

We enjoyed a two night stay at Mountain Vista Hotel. A ten minute drive to Yellowstone National Park was convenient. Located away from all the congestion in the town of West Yellowstone. Clean and quiet. We'll stay here again.

Attractive lobby, friendly staff welcomed us on a somewhat late arrival. Room clean, nicely decorated if a bit small. Nice bathroom. Numerous items available for an included breakfast though no cooked eggs, etc. Pretty location about 6 miles outside West Yellowstone though rain and low clouds limited views.

Was an okay stay. No elevator so had to carry bags to second floor. Very strict about no early check in as we had arrived earlier than expected. Breakfast area small so a challenge to get a table as many were early risers to start their days, presumably in Yellowstone or other related activities. About 20 minutes to get to stores, food etc.
