I recently had the pleasure of staying at this amazing hotel, and it exceeded all my expectations. It is really beautifully decorated, and very comfortable ( with a kitchenette, and even a washing machine in the apartment which was an unexpected convenience). The swimming pool is great too- clean and well-maintained. Finally, the location of the hotel is amazing, right next to the waterfront and Te Papa museum.
The pool was unavailable and had booked 8 rooms for grandchildren and pool was the factor for my booking these rooms
Valet service good but expensive
Thought my booking could have been managed better due to size and amount spent on stay
Found bar staff rude
Loved the room but annoyed on other services not up to standard
Excellent property, really great amenities including in-room washer/dryer/dishwasher. Pool was being renovated while I was there, which was a slight bummer. Good gym and sauna. Restaurant so-so for breakfast.
Like most properties in NZ, the rooms need a bit of a refresh -- surfaces, paint, carpet. Price point is on the higher side (~NZ$375/night). With that said, the 2BR configuration with a kitchen was clutch for a small family. Common areas were very cool. Staff is friendly and helpful. Would stay again
Sadly the room was looking aged, chipped vanity, missing tiles in the bathroom on the surround, loose collar on the bath tap, not really the quality it used to be recognised for. The young lady on reception..fabulous. Unlikely we will stay again due to the drop in room quality.
I came here to attend my son's V/U graduation ceremony. They prepared a chocolate for us, which was very nice. Thank you for their service. I will stay here again next time.
Loved our stay, fabulous location to loads of places to dine. Perfect walking distance from good shopping. Friendly staff and comfortable room, will stay again, thank you!

Service and condition let’s this hotel down
Great location however what lets this hotel down is the consistently bad service at the front desk and the overall condition of the apartments. I’ve stayed at this hotel and the QT and other properties on various stays in Wellington and the Museum hotel is the worst. The combined front desk, cafe set up is a disaster with staff behind the counter just standing around unable to service guests when checking in or out (presumably staff rostered here are not cross-trained to serve both front desk and restaurant customers). Rooms furnishings are more style over substance with chairs uncomfortable to sit in, my bathroom was poorly designed with an unnecessarily large spa bath compromising both the shower and toilet areas, and kitchen facilities are almost worthless due to lack of a suitable area to eat any food you cook. I intended to cook during my stay but didn’t due to the poor facilities provided in my apartment. The apartments are large enough just poorly designed! Leaking fridge in the first room I was allocated is also indicative of a hotel with poor systems and processes as the room was not in a condition to be activated for allocation to guests.
The apartment was clean with good light.
There were 4 of us (2 couples) not enough seating in living area. Not well stocked for cooking. We had expected 2 bathrooms, but we only had one bathroom with no opportunity to move to an apartment with 2 bathrooms.
Easy walking to museum and water front and cafe/dinning.
