After we had booked we saw all the dubious reviews so were a bit worried about what we would find - but we were very happy with what we got - no mould or broken ceilings that had been previously reported - a very nice stay in Wellington

The Park used to be a wonderful hotel. It is a shell of its former glory. At reception there is no bell to get anyones attention, so you have to shout out. The room I had was very dirty. It appears to have been given a once over and not had a thorough clean in a very long time. The towels are threadbare and have seen better days. The wall heater is directly below the TV, and had to be plugged into the wall above the heat source. I didn't feel safe enough to turn it on.

The room was nice and tidy but a bit cold I followed instructions on the conditioner but it only pushed cold air out despite of 20 temperatures on the display Couldn't work out the heater, left it on random settings, and it was too hot. No instructions for that heater to be found! Overall - a good experience, could've been better if I arrived not so late at night and could ask for help :)
