Enjoy scenic views of Wellington, the coolest little capital in the world, from this cosy, self contained studio apartment located in the central city suburb of Brooklyn. An ideal place to stay and relax, if you're visiting for pleasure or business. With its own private entrance you'll feel right at home in this studio apartment which includes free wifi, ensuite bathroom, kitchenette and a lavender court yard. After a long day, a comfortable queen bed awaits you or if you have a need to stretch your legs, take an invigorating walk up the track to the Brooklyn wind turbine through the Waimapihi Reserve. Quality restaurants, cafes, bars and takeaways are just a 5 min drive away at the Brooklyn village or watch a movie at the local vintage cinema. The distance between the studio and city is about 3 km. It will take between 30 to 40 minutes for a leisure walk which takes you through the Wellington's Central Park located close to the CBD, containing native bush, a playground and flying fox. The nearest bus stop is only 6 minutes walk down the road and the bus No. 17 takes you to the city daily. The last stop is the Wellington Railway Station which is close to The Beehive, the Executive Wing of the New Zealand Parliament Buildings.

The unit is extremely clean and cosy, the bed is super comfortable, and the shower pressure is fabulous. The view is magnificent and the road quiet. It borders the nature reserve so you can hear the birds. It is a climb up the hill - but where isn't a climb in Wellington city - and the height gives you the view and a sense of being up and out of the city stress. There is also a bus route not far away and it was only $20 taxi from Cambridge Tce in the city. The parking is directly outside the unit and was very safe with not a lot of car or foot traffic. I will definitely book again if I need to stay in Welington city.

The hosts were super friendly and helpful. The room was wonderful and very close to downtown Wellington activities. The only drawback is that to get to the property, you have to drive up very windy and narrow streets to the top of a hill.

Fantastic views
Don't worry about the drive up the hill as this studio flat is worth the effort. Every amenity is available in a most modern and clean flat. Comfortable bed with air conditioning and easy to use kitchenette and TV on quiet street. Highly recommend.

The hosts are excellent people. They are mire than happy to offer advice, recommendations and help. Ample communication, very thorough information. The place is very clean. It is small and cozy. View is spectacular. Kitchen area is a nook, no stove. Plan on things microwaveable, toastable or cold. Lovely trails behind house. Would stay here again.

We loved the location of this studio overlooking Wellington. Even better were the views from the nearby track to the windmill! The studio is very tidy with a little kitchenette which was great for making a small breakfast. Our hostess gave us a detailed overview, including the buses and routes to get downtown, restaurants within walking distance, and also suggested a bunch of places to see in Wellington. Every place she suggested was awesome, especially Te Papa! Would definitely stay here again!

We had a great stay for a second time. The studio was again very clean, comfortable, and our hosts Julie and Pauline were welcoming and wonderful. A great experience! We took several bus trips to difference areas around Wellington with the stops just a few minutes walk from the studio.
