About this property

Large Farm House Apartment minutes away from Stowe Mountain Resort

Need a Vermont getaway with the family? Look no further. This large farm house apartment is conveniently located on Route 100 in Waterbury Center with just 11 miles from Stowe Mountain Resort, 3 miles to Waterbury Waterbury Reservoir, and 6 miles to I89 N/S. The house sits on 50 acres with extensive logging trails that are perfect for walking & hiking in the warmer seasons and snowshoeing in the winter.

This house has three units. Unit A (this listing) is the largest and most spread out of the three attached units. The garage is used as a common area, so feel free to store your skis, snowboards, bikes, etc. in there if you like!

There is an indoor nest camera monitoring that common area. Your personal belongings will be safe here. Please know that there are two Nest cameras on the property recording video on the exterior and the interior of the garage.

Unit B is currently rented out to a lovely family, and Unit C (above the garage) is another rental listing.

All the units in this old house are entirely separate. The "shared" / common area is the front entrance/ hallway connecting units A, B, and C. There is a rear entrance that we encourage guests to use as it is more private than the front entrance.

PLEASE NOTE: It is absolutely mandatory that renters buy the $99 Property Damage Protection when they are making the booking. Failure to do so will lead in your request to be declined.
During your stay at this farm stay, you'll be close to Green Mountain Club Visitor Center.
  • Just a 3-minute drive from Green Mountain Club Visitor Center and a few minutes from Cold Hollow Cider Mill
This farm stay offers its guests a garden. The front desk is open around the clock.

This Waterbury Center farm stay is smoke free.

Great spot for family and dogs
We loved staying here. Being able to do quick walks on the property with a senior dog and puppy was great. Each kid got their own room. Furniture in living room could have been better- only 1 couch - which doesn’t make it comfy for all 6 of us. That was the only issue. A little freaked about the parking but once there it was easy. Plenty of space to 3 point turn your car so you can pull straight out onto road.

Dog Friendly and close to both Waterbury and Stowe
We've been taking our adventure husky on an annual fall hiking trip for years using VRBO, so finding dog friendly properties is a must. This property was dog friendly and centrally located to both Waterbury and Stowe. We also stopped into Montpelier and Burlington, which are easily accessible from the highway (the entrance to the highway is at Waterbury). We loved the old farmhouse wooden floors, and the backyard was just gorgeous with all the fall foliage. There is a firepit and the property managers were very kind to bring us a load of wood so we could enjoy sitting around the fire in the cool evenings. Only my husband and I stayed, so I can't speak to the other bedrooms, but I opted to sleep in the bedroom off the dining/kitchen area and it was comfortable (I'm a light sleeper, so the traffic noise of busy rt 100 was a little too much for me to use the master in the front). The property managers were very responsive and constantly kept in touch via text, which was nice. The only problem we experienced during the stay was spotty internet, which made it difficult to work in the evenings (which I had to do as a teacher). But that issue was not really anyone's fault. Sometimes equipment just goes bad and needs fixing. Once the technician came, there were no internet issues. We'd definitely stay again!
