The sensor activated room thermostat makes the guest suffer an inappropriate temperature for a prolonged time before the desired temp is reached and would be nice to adjust earlier then check in

Overall the Hotel was great! Location wise was ideal and the rooftop was amazing with awesome views! My only complaint is the price of the food. Breakfast seemed excessively expensive so i would recommend not eating breakfast at the hotel. I ordered just two dishes with 1 coffee and 1 orange juice and it was like $85!

The room was TERRIBLE! The lobby was beautiful plus location was great. BUT when we got to our room it was such a disappointment. The room was small, which we expect for DC. The big surprise was when we opened the curtains (which covered the entire length of the room) to reveal a wall. There was a tiny window in one corner. The heating alternated with AC all night (despite snowing outside), so we were either freezing or boiling. Not a restful night.

Location is great, very convenient and walkable. the hotel has history and charisma. The room is not very big - especially the bathroom area; beds are quite comfortable. It is the only hotel in DC that can have a glimpse of the White House. Try the roof restaurant.
