Pros: This spot is located at a new apartment building which appears to target young professionals. Nice lobby areas, gym, game room, outdoor space, and an Aldi’s located downstairs. Apartment is spacious with nice, minimal IKEA furniture and super clean. The location is also near the highway with a short commute to DC. We would come again.
Cons: Faulty pre-approval process. After completing the process, and receiving a confirmation email, I still received multiple emails from We Host and Expedia stating it was missing and needed to be completed. The emails seemed to be AI generated. Company charges for things that should be included such as parking, pool access and late check outs. For example, the fob allows access to the resident parking garage. However, we prepaid for parking only to obtain a laminated parking pass that was unneccessary. It was also difficult trying to contact someone for the lockbox code for said parking pass. The apartment hallways are also long with fob access points everywhere. (Which was a little inconvenient if guests wanted to leave the apartment at different times. For example, I left for coffee, husband left to use the gym downstairs, and we needed to sync up to be able to access the hallways and elevator to get back into the apartment) We Host should give guests two sets of key fobs as guests can’t walk through the property without having one.
Overall, for me, the pros outweighed the cons but it might not for everyone.
