Coastal chic meets relaxed holiday living at The Chalet @ Sea Gulls, a luxury self-catering holiday cottage located on the Camel Estuary at Porthilly in Rock.
Stay for a week and we offer a discount!
The Chalet @ Sea Gulls is wonderfully located overlooking Porthilly Cove and offers restful, flexible accommodation for up to 2 guests.
The Space:
A great cosy cottage in a fantastic location with even better views. The Chalet has a king-sized bed, with a self-contained kitchen/living room to cater for your needs while there.
With some outdoor space, hopefully guests can enjoy breakfast and a coffee outside in the sunshine.
The accommodation is set up for a maximum of 2 people, i'm afraid that it is not suitable for infants and children.
Guest Access:
Guests will have access to The Chalet in full, as well as some outdoor space. There is another much bigger property in the grounds, however these properties are separated by mature hedge giving privacy within the property and the decking area is well screened with trellis from the rest of the garden
Guests should be aware that if they visit in winter the decking area may be unsafe to use as it may become slippery during prolonged wet weather. Using the patio doors (which open outwards) may not be possible in wet weather.
The wonderful views of the estuary and the skyline can still be enjoyed from the comfort of the chalet
The Neighborhood:
The property is:
20 min drive to Bodmin Moor
40 min drive to Eden project
19 min walk to SW coast path
Getting Around:
There is no need for your car once you have arrived at The Chalet @ Sea Gulls. From here, explore the ancient St Michael's Church or take a stroll up the road for some fine dining at the St Enodoc Hotel. Wander down through Porthilly Cove and cut across the beach at low tide to Rock beach and the sailing club, shops, the Mariners Pub for a light bite, or make a stop in the Rock Inn for your evening meal. A short one mile ramble over the sandy dunes will bring you to Daymer Bay, another beach ideal for bathing or rock pooling with children.
Head out further on the coastal path to nearby Polzeath, a blue flag beach and a mecca for surfers and body boarders. Catch the day ferry from Rock over to Padstow to explore this vibrant harbour town or head out in the evening via the water taxi to a sumptuous dinner at Rick Stein's or Paul Ainsworth's. For yet more Michelin starred cuisine, head over to Port Isaac and book into Nathan Outlaws two restaurants.
