The room was spacious and loved the spacious kitchen with a full refrigerator. The rooms were clean however the pull out couch was not very comfortable. There were 3 of us staying in the room and it would have been nice to have 3 chairs in the kitchen. Overall, it was a good stay.

Cozy and Clean
booked the room based on reviews since we aren't familiar with the area, was in town to visit extended. We were pleasantly surprised at the room. It was clean and we could tell it had been recently updated. Had the kitchen suite and it was outfitted with everything we needed, they even had a welcome snack basket with complementary treats :) Bed was comfortable, my husband loved the pillow, said it was the best hotel pillow he's ever had.

Stayed overnight here on our way up north. Owners are the staff- and super friendly. Loved the room (kitchen suite). Only regret is that we did not stay longer to check out the area. Definitely want to come back and stay a few days.

for a older place it was okay but the price was a bit high for the age of the place .the one person we did talk to was very polite even though the check in time was by 8 (which we weren't told ) and it was almost ten when we got there. the property could use some updating and cleaning.

Convenient for our particular needs: close to two grocery stores, a bike shop, and the Mesabi Trail. Snacks provided in your room. Staff was very helpful.

I can tell it’s an old place by the paint, and door stains and the AC unit venting inside needs cleaning. However, carpet seems newer and clean, Overall , was welcoming and nice touches. Nice bedding, neat, snacks/water offered, friendly employees, quiet, and nice location. I would stay here again.

I had read about a recent refurb, but was sadly disappointed. Overall, you get what you pay for, and if you're looking for an inexpensive motel room that is clean, this is your place.

A great place to stay
Our room was a very comfortable small apartment with a living room with a good sized couch and full ki5chen. The motel is on a cute lake we would see out the back window. It has a sidewalk completely around it so wait took a nice one half hour walk. It's an old fashioned, clean and comfortable place. It's very close to a good grocery store. I highly recommend it.
