I stayed for one night over Christmas. I was not informed prior and there was no indication on the website about the Xmas turkey dinner being a ticketed event only. It actually says on the website that the Snug pub is first come, first served and no reservations are required. I went to have dinner and I was told by the hosts that the dinner was sold out for the night and my only option was to get pizza at Faro. I was looking forward to turkey dinner, as I was not able to be with family for the holiday. The front desk pulled some strings to get me a seat at the bar and the turkey dinner option. For the ratings of the hotel the dinner was mediocre. The vegetables with my main were undercooked (crunchy, bitter brussles sprouts) and the turkey was barely warm. I let the f b manager know, and all I received was an insincere apology. I expected to at least get a drink comped but I was charged full price. There was a wind storm that day and one of the glass partitions by the pool was smashed so there was no access to the pools or hot tubs that evening. I understand you can’t control the weather but I was surprised that the glass wasn’t laminated to prevent such an occurrence. My spa treatment was also cancelled due to flooding. I expected to get a rain check for the pool use but I had to complain majorly at check out to get any acknowledgment of the issues. In the end they said they could either comp my room service breakfast or give me a pool voucher but not both.

Very much enjoyed my stay. Only glitch was a hot water boiler issue the first day, otherwise it was great. Pools and sauna were fantastic and the view is unbeatable. Only wish the ocean access was closer to the pools but will definitely be coming back!
