Wonderful hotel in prime location. Our room was fresh and clean, plenty of space. Toiletries were of high quality (you can buy them at the hotel store). Staff was polite and pleasant. Food at Q restaurant was tasty, and waiters were very professional. We enjoyed carols in the lobby. Excellent place.

The Empress is an amazing place to stay. We brought our giant fluffy dog with us and he was the star of the show. All staff always stopped to say hi and we’re so helpful with everything. Would definitely stay here again!

So the hotel is lovely and high end. But why would you allow dogs?? What a way to ruin an experience. We had dogs barking and howling and waking us up next door. Not very pleasing.
