Marvelous retreat
Dashwood Manor is a beautiful home right on the water. They allowed an early check-in, the room was clean and well decorated, and they worked around dietary preferences. The breakfast was spectacular. 10/10, would visit again!

We had a fantastic stay at the Dashwood . The staff were welcoming and great the breakfast was amazing each morning and the house is in a perfect location directly across from the ocean. I highly recommend this property for your stay in Victoria

We arrived shortly after 4 to have our codes not work- we asked other guests to show us how it worked and our codes still did not work. We were given 3 different codes, none of them worked so we had to get them to reset it. Our bedroom was nothing special, had a weird smell. Bathroom was VERY small and uncomfortable to use to say the least. When I took bags to the car they assumed that we had left even though we saw the staff in the hallway and they walked in on him using the bathroom… will not recommend to others or return.

Cook St Village is quaint, clean and friendly. DashWood Manor is Across the street from walking paths along the ocean while also bordering Beacon Hill Park walking paths. The location was the key. The breakfasts are generous large portions of freshly made meals.

First of all, the communication with the property about stay was excellent. The property is older, but very well appointed. It is extremely charming and welcoming. We stayed in a large room on the first floor which was great for us. They provide 24/7 tea, coffee, water, and cookies in the dining room. This amenity is self serve. Every morning there is a full breakfast, and the food is superb. The staff and chef are very accommodating. I must add that I have multiple food allergies, and I ate like a queen. The staff asked me questions and took great care, so that I could eat. Quite frankly, I’m used to just sitting and watching others enjoying a great breakfast, but this time, I was also enjoying the breakfast. Overall, it’s the staff that really makes this property outstanding. They were so nice and thoughtful about any needs. This was a girls trip, but I hope to return, so that my husband can have this great experience.

This is a historic older home, right on the beach walkway access. We loved that you could walk straight out to the multi purpose walkway overlooking the beach. Beautiful. The home is historically antique so along with that comes older amenities but that is part of the character and charm! The breakfast was delightful along with the snack and drinks bar, available throughout the day.

Very cozy premises with extremely friendly staff and excellent service. My wife and I are vegetarians, and Jeremy, the cook, ensured that we were served excellent breakfast options that accommodated our dietary preferences. One of the most enjoyable aspects of our stay in Victoria were the walks through Beacon Hill Park (which is adjacent to Dashwood) among squirrels, ducks and peacocks.

This property is located next to the beach and Beacon Hill Park. It appeared to be on a Historical Register. It was only 10 minutes from downtown. One can walk down the beach stairs and walk along the water. The atmosphere was quaint and inviting. The staff could not be nicer. Dashwood has a beautiful dining room overlooking the harbor. The breakfast was delicious and beautifully plated with fresh fruit. They even had a vegan menu for my granddaughter! Beds were quite comfortable and lots of hot water in the shower. This B&B was a great find!!
