This property was very hard to find, but that is majority of places in venice. There is a small bar/restaurant right around the hotel wich is very noisy at night. One thing we found strange was that every time you leave the hotel you had to leave your room key at the front desk. When checking in they said this was for them to tell who is in the building. I have never had to do this at any other hotel and quite frankly it was weird to give them access to all of our stuff while we're out. I'm sure if they had an emergency they have a master key but it was unnecessary in my opinion. Overall the room was pretty clean. Bathroom amenities standard. Shower was tricky as there was a small glass ment to be the door but impossible for water not to escape when taking a shower. Also the hotel had a noticeable odor like sewage, and the air freshener they give you is plug in and started to burn when plugged in so couldn't use. Overall wouldn't stay here again, but manageable for 2 nights.

We loved our stay at this hotel. The only thing we didn't love is that they had turned off the air conditioning for the season and only had the heat on but we knew that it was a possibility by traveling in October. Luckily, the fan would run and we were able to open the windows. It was a little loud at the bar downstairs but that isn't the hotel's fault...just a word of warning if you plan on staying there and don't plan on staying out late!

Centrally located close to the Rialto Bridge. Veperetto stops nearby. Staff was super helpful and friendly whenever I had a question. Rooms do not have a view, but I went out and got my views on foot. I wasn't paying to stay in the hotel all day. Try the pasta to go shop down a few doors down.

Venice a must see but done that move on category.
The hotel was not amazing but it was nice. The beds are not ok. That is my only complaint. Really bad, the good things about the hotel is that it has an elevator and the breakfast was affordable and pretty good. I would return to this hotel if not for the bed because sleep is very important to me especially when traveling and on the go. You have to be rested. One last thing about Venice over all travel light, luggage and water taxis are no joke.

Hotel Bartolomeo is tucked away in a little corner of a labyrinth in the main neighborhood of Venezia. It's so cute and cozy and only about a 5 minute walk to piazza San Marco. It's right by Ponte Rialto and seriously convenient to anything anyone wanted to do in Venezia. It has one of the smallest elevators we have ever been in. We know not to bring suitcases to Venezia, but even the two of us with our backpacks were a tight fit. Below, there is a lively local bar that is buzzing with life. We couldn't have been happier with the clean, convienient hotel. It's mid-luxury but still rather inexpensive.

Location is great and really close to top Venice attractions. Rialto bridge is literally around the corner. Bar downstairs can be noisy though and a little hard to pass through at night (walking back to hotel) with the bar patrons blocking the alley. Room was very small but well-kept and clean. Staff- it depends on who’s at the front desk. The really nice one was Carolina. Super nice and helpful. The other staff were a little grumpy and hard to ask questions to.

A lovely hotel, great location close to Rialto and a short walk to San Marco. Nice rooms, very clean except for the proximity to a local bar and the crowd that came with it making it difficult to get to the hotel. But i did know this before arrival, so not a complaint just mentioning it.

This hotel was fantastic. While at first a bit hard to find this accommodation is in a great location that is walking distance from the Rialto Bridge. Staff were great, and the rooms were clean and had AC which worked well. There is a bar close to the hotel that could be busy at night but we found the noise wasn't disruptive during our stay. Transport to the main Venice train station Santa Lucia was easily accessible on the vaporetti near Rialto Bridge. Highly recommend!

The hotel is in the center of everything walking distance. What I truly love is the location because it’s just a few minutes away from the main center yet is quiet. The owners are two sister that are lovely and very helpful. If I comeback to Venice again I will stay in this hotel. Thank you for the service

We were checked in by an obviously stressed person. In later interactions, she was very helpful, though, so i will blame the August heat of Venice. The front desk staff was genial and friendly as we came and went. They were very helpful in storing our luggage after checkout. We had a triple that was quite small. In comparison, the room was smaller than any of the 3 bedrooms in a comparably priced and comparably located VRBO we had stayed in the previous week. We were pleasantly surprised to have daily housekeeping. The hotel is on a secluded street but there is a bar next to the hotel that can be quite loud at night. The area around the hotel is very lively --right by the Rialto bridge. There are lots of shops, restaurants and diversions quite nearby.
