The staff always are the key to a stress free stay! The hotel is clean and they offer a nice bottle of water or a cup of tea or coffee in the room after s as long journey it’s appreciated.

The directions etc for the restaurants are not clear. We were in the old tower. The room is run down. There is no view. Coffee maker didn’t work Had this place booked for January. Already cancelled it. Would not come back again

Room with View: 5/5 Room cleanliness: 4/5 Parking: Free parkade or valet Amenities: 2/5 because pool slide was out of service that weekend Buffet: 2/5 Staff: 4/5 (they really tried) Made reservation a few months in advance for a weekend getaway with the family. - Slide at pool was closed that weekend. No email notification about this. Found out when we arrived. please inform your guests and let them know earlier so they can make other arrangement. The pool slide was one of the main reasons we picked this hotel. - A commotion at the buffet due to another guest being unreasonably about children at the buffet area coughing (not coughing into the food or at buffet area). If there is a health and safety concern, management should have informed guests that any guests with any sign of ill symptoms would not be able to dine at the buffet. Or put up sneeze guards. Some people don’t necessarily have to be sick to be coughing. Some people have chronic conditions or asthma that make them cough but it is not an illness that can be spread. Let’s provide better management for all guests to feel welcome or simply list out restrictions ahead of time. It was not a cheap getaway, and the entire family did not enjoy it at all. River Rock has been one of our annual getaway stops. Sometimes we do multiple weekend getaways over the course of a year. I think we will explore other hotels for our getaway trips to try somewhere else going forward.

I was upgraded to a one bedroom suite from a standard king however, the furniture needs updating. Specifically, the sofa sounded like someone was farting ever time it was sat on (no seat support). Also, the king bed was horribly uncomfortable and springs were poking into our backs all night. We had to get up several times and stretch in the living room. Worst night's sleep!

The elevator and escalator were not working had to use the service elevator and then walk down escalator. Bellman had to take us in the elevator as it was behind secured doors. Terrible bar area, casual dining was similar but to a shopping mall food court. The room was so overpriced. Will not go back.

There are very few dining options in the area and none were good. The hotel charges a significant daily resort fee for what they list as covering housekeeping, coffee, pool facilities, etc. However, no housekeeping services were done during our stay and no coffee provided aside from enough for one cup each on the first of a multiple day stay. When asked for more coffee they brought a few but no extra cream/sugar and no clean cups. Dirty cups were not removed from the room. We were also over charged for the room and did not receive any response from the hotel to emails sent regarding the overage fee. The concern was reluctantly resolved when forwarded to the booking company. Check your bill closely and ensure you are getting what you pay for.
