When booking - it wasn’t clear that certain rooms were in a separate motel building We came to our room at 11 pm to find a 1 story room with a window open. Someone could have just climbed in the room at any point before we got there. The building is quite dated. The bed had minimal blankets and small pillows. This might be one of the worst places I’ve stayed in decades. Overall we felt unsafe and like we had ended up in an old motel painted like a hotel.

BW Rambler was at the right location for my travels -- and was the only hotel for miles. Solid older motel.

Walsenburg Oasis
Nice place to overnight near Walsenburg. Hotel staff gave us a list of restaurants that were open on Sunday. Nice touch. Fast food options near by as well.

I was very impressed with the friendliness of the staff. there was a special of the day for breakfast, made to order, not the usual buffet. The walls are a little thin, but nothing that would keep you up at night. the bed and pillows were very comfortable.

We requested a King bed, received Queen. The toilet ring on the toilet was detached from the lid...something housekeeping should have noticed and repaired prior to our arrival. The property was clean, but the rooms had very thin walls..noise from other rooms could be heard. This is an okay place for a one night stop while traveling. However, you may want to pack an ice chest as eating establishments are very limited. We purchased from a deli in a grocery store and ate in our room. The provided breakfast was a chef preparing only the breakfast posted for that morning. There was cold cereal, bananas, etc, but not a selection of hot breakfast items. Overall the property was decent.

Staff was attentive and helpful. Loved the made-to-order breakfast of biscuits and gravy. Hotel is older in a not-so-pretty part of the town but the room and hotel was comfortable. I would definitely stay here again
