The apartment is wonderfully located above the town and gives beautiful views.
The apartment is well-equipped and comfortable, is spacious and provides great views of the town from a high vantage point. The host is charming but, as non-German speakers, we discovered she does not have much English (although this was not a serious impediment for us). Because it is on a hillside, access to the apartment would be a problem for guests with mobility issues. The walk to town (and particularly back) is steep but manageable. It is mid-October and the deciduous trees are just beginning to change colour as the winter approaches which adds another dimension to the view. A real plus is the central location for access to walks for all levels of challenge. We had one morning of 2 degrees celsius but the days generally were 12 - 14 degree maximums. The apartment is well heated and the water is hot. There was no rain. One downside was the number of house flies, particularly on the first two days, and we will mention that to the host for attention between guest stays. Admirably, the garbage is separated for recycling purposes but the instructions required clarity. All in all, it was a most enjoyable visit and for us, a different experience.

Home on the hillside
This is a beautiful apartment set into a hillside flower garden. The interior is bright and has all the required equipment including a dishwasher. It does not have a laundry. There is a king size bed and a day bed in the single bedroom. The bathroom is large and well appointed. There is a nice flat screen TV in the living room, and Wi-Fi is available for a very minimal fee. But the main reason to stay at this house is the balcony overlooking Triberg. The view is fantastic with a few Church steeples and many, many rooftops. There is on-street parking either above or below the house. Either way, it is a climb (or descent) to get to the house. It is through beautiful gardens. If one is in good enough shape to handle it, it is a nice walk into town or to the famous waterfall. (We are athletic 60 year olds, but I had a knee injury.) We walked into town several times for dinner and shopping. The woman who manages the apartments (3) is very friendly and helpful even though her English is poor. There is a refundable breakage deposit and cleaning fee, but it is still a great value for a postcard view..

Mit samlede indtryk af ferieboligen er, at den var det frdeste! Vi nød at være i den, nød at sidde på terassen og at se ud over byens tage. Den lå dejligt op ad et bjerg, hvor der var fred og ro fra centrums trafik og tummel.
