Peaceful Seymour Lake Retreat

Overview
Welcome to Peaceful Seymour Lake Retreat, a nature lover's paradise designed to immerse you in tranquility and comfort. As you arrive, the U-shaped driveway provides a convenient and picturesque entry, leading you right to the front door under the inviting covered porch.

Step inside to find the above-ground basement, a hub of entertainment. This level includes a rec room complete with a dry bar, pool table, and dart board, perfect for those times spent indoors.

Ascending a half flight of stairs, you enter the heart of the home—a spacious, open-concept kitchen, living room, and dining area. The kitchen, equipped with modern amenities like a dishwasher, fridge, stove, microwave, and several small appliances, features bar-height seating, making it a delightful spot to enjoy a snack or two. The big dining table, overlooking Seymour Lake, is the perfect spot to enjoy a delicious meal with a view! Just outside the kitchen door, two BBQ options await on the covered deck, catering to both charcoal and propane BBQ enthusiasts. The living room, with its pull-out sofa bed, adds flexibility, comfortably accommodating up to two additional guests. The TV with satellite channels and access to your own accounts on services such as Netflix can provide hours of entertainment for a movie night with the family.

Continuing up to the third level, you'll find the main bathroom and two serene bedrooms, each with a queen bed and ample natural light from multiple windows. This upper sanctuary ensures restful nights and refreshing mornings, allowing you to fully unwind and enjoy your stay.

The true magic of Peaceful Seymour Lake Retreat lies outdoors. Beyond the covered deck, a campfire bowl surrounded by twinkling lights sets the stage for enchanting evenings under the stars. The expansive yard, featuring a charming creek often visited by ducks, invites you to explore and reconnect with nature. While the waterfront itself isn't swimmable, the abundant wildlife and serene environment offer endless enjoyment for guests of all ages.

When river flows are low enough, you can walk out and explore the river bed. The upper waterfall is formed on a wedge-shaped outcrop of limestone which appears beveled down to a sharp edge, right at the crest of the falls. The lower falls is similar, but does not exhibit the beveled-edge crest. (15 mins)

Lovely cottage
This is a lovely cottage, beautiful views, great area. I do however have some things I wasn't happy with, mostly the beds. The beds were not comfortable, most of us did not sleep well. That to me is the whole point of renting a place to stay, is to sleep, if the beds aren't comfortable, I won't be coming back. Also, the place wasn't very clean. Every kitchen drawer and cupboard I opened definitely needed cleaning. The amount of dead bugs in the light fixtures was just gross to be honest. The floors were clean, bathrooms, table tops etc., but not everything was clean. Also, to ask to supply your own toilet paper is a little much.
