Off the North Shore of Nova Scotia lies Tracadie Island, where this beautiful estate is located. Featuring all the comforts a guest could want, this island estate is immersed in both luxury and nature. "The Big House" as it's locally known, boasts 4 bedrooms, 5 baths, a finished entertainment space with ping pong and pool tables as well as children’s play area and a rooftop widow's walk overlooking Tracadie harbor.
Included in the rental is a newly constructed guesthouse featuring 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, kitchen and living room. Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy use of four singles and one tandem kayak, a stand up paddle board, 1/2 mile of private oceanfront, and miles of woods trails. Guests at this Acadian Island estate are treated to comfort, elegance, impeccable design, breathtaking ocean views and all the comforts that a well equipped home provides.
Located on The Big Island, in Tracadie, Nova Scotia. Ocean front along Tracadie harbor. Part of the larger St. George's Bay, Northumberland Strait, and Gulf of St. Lawrence. A 30 minute drive from the town of Antigonish, the Highland Heart of Nova Scotia, home of the world renowned St. Francis Xavier University and voted one of the 25 best small towns in Canada. Close proximity to Cape Breton Island, with its nationally ranked golf courses, beaches, and Highlands National Park.
2.5 hour drive to Halifax.

Our house rules: primary renter must be 25 or older, no parties or events.
No Smoking inside the main house and guest house. Smoking is permitted in all outdoor spaces.

Very comfortable. Jon and Marcie are great - very responsive. There is plenty of in-house entertainment for bad weather days and our dogs give it a 5-star review as well.

This was the perfect property for our family reunion.
Our stay at the Big House on Big Tracadie Island could not have been better. There were 10 adults, a 3 year old, a 5 week old infant and 2 dogs. The home and guest house are beautiful and immaculate. This is also the best equipped rental we have ever had. Our 3 year old grandson was entertained by a plethora of toys. The kitchen had everything you could want/use. The property is private, the beach and kayaks right there. Mark responded to my messages very quickly and offered lots of advice on activities etc. Jon the property manager met the first of our party to arrive. He is pleasant and helpful and too gave great advice. One evening we bought 15 lobsters from the wharf he suggested. Need I say more... Jon was available for us but we really never had to call upon him as everything was perfect. I recommend this property without reservation. Thank you Mark and Jon.
