This is what we expected for the onsen report hotel. Clean and nice, Great service, Shuttle bus to get to the Kinosaki onsen street. I can say it’s perfect to enjoy the traditional onsen place.
Everything was excellent! The town was very cute and clean. All staff and people in the town were very welcoming and friendly. The womens bath wasn’t busy and we had it to ourselves! Meals were excellent, we were all very full afterwards. PS, sorry for underwear man!

This hotel and the staff is amazing. So helpful, clean, accommodating, and polite. I can definitely see why it was sold out for most nights. Rooms are very clean w/ private full bath. The location is very convenient. When looking at the map it may seem like it’s off to the side, but literally everything is within a 10 minute walk even the beach is close. It’s safe and family oriented.
The hotel is nicely updated including a nice large Koi pond in the center and the public baths are nice.
Lastly, reserve the breakfast it’s an experience and you actually feel full after eating.. I extended from one night to two.. Definitely recommend. Enjoy
Pickup service at train station. Early check in and service is excellent. However the breakfast set is mostly pickled vegetables which is not worth the price. When I asked for coffee while in the dining room, I was asked to go to the coffee machine. After breakfast, I went to pick up a coffee at lobby. However I saw the same service staff was at the coffee machine to take coffee. Is this because I can drink tea, I have to go to take coffee myself and coffee is only served to westerners by service staff ???
Our stay provided us with a very authentic traditional experience, from the bedding to the food. The staff were very kind to alter our evening and morning meal to accommodate a no fish diet. At this time the contact with the staff is rushed due a need to keep staff safe from respiratory infections. They were all very kind and the shuttle is much appreciated.
Very nice Ryokan in Kinosaki. We opted for the "Kaiseki" food option which was part of the room rate. What we got for 4 meals (2 dinners/2 breakfasts) was unbelievable!!! Delicious and fresh.
Onsen was great, hardly anyone in it during our stay.
Staff was very attentive and ofcourse polite. Top notcn
I would highly recommend this stay in Kinosaki. I was an American female solo traveler and felt very safe and the staff was always so willing to be accommodating and helpful. I had an early flight on my way out and they started the transfer service early for me. Make sure give them a call ahead of time and they’re happy to pick you up from the station so you don’t have to walk with bags through a small construction area. I would love to come back!
Staff were smiles all the time. Food was great - both dinner and breakfast. Onsen was fine as it was not as crowded and noisy as in the other free Onsen places. Shuttle bus was ready to drive us to and from the town centre (at specific period in a day).
Highly recommended.
I wish I knew you had free access to all the other onsens in the area, I would’ve gotten to the hotel earlier. Dinner and breakfast was AMAZING and the Onsen was everything I needed!
The property was away from most of the other area but that is one of the things I liked about it. It was very quiet and peaceful. Most of the time I had the outdoor bath to myself which was relaxing. The staff were very friendly and always willing to help. One male employee helped me open a creamer for my coffee as I had just gotten my nails done and tried not to ruin them. It was a 8 to 10 min walk to restaurants or they have a shuttle and can make reservations for you. I will be back!
A wonderful place to stay while visiting a charming onsen town. Hospitality of the staff is superb, and shuttle service provides easy access to the public baths in town. My room was very clean and comfortable but I did not like the pillow I had with my futon.
Dining experience was also terrific. I had a snow crab dinner and it was very excellent.
Overall, I loved staying here so much that I would want to visit Kinosakionsen again in the future primarily to stay in Suishoen again.
