The hotel overall was great. We had a pleasant stay there. But, I was disappointed that full breakfast was discontinued. I booked the hotel specifically because it served breakfast and was near a train station. By the time I was emailed that breakfast service was discontinued, it was too late to change hotels. While I would love to enjoy the fruit/cookie breakfast that is now served, I am a diabetic so I cannot eat those things for breakfast. I was left with no alternative but to spend money at a local store for my breakfast. There were very few restaurants within walking distance so I mainly used the 7-eleven. This was my main disappointment but other than that, the hotel was acceptable. The workers were very cordial and helpful.

area is safe even if it’s in front of major highway and train tracks. hotel is clean and spacious and makes you feel at home. they have free fruits, cookies and coffee in the morning. this is my second stay in monday apart hotel.

We enjoyed being able to walk to Ueno Park. Easy access to Ueno station, too. The rooms were clean and well-appointed with everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
