Room comfortable, tidy, and located in a convenient area. Very easy to find, even for inexperienced travellers. I love that Hotel Resol Ikebukuro was affordable when I booked it and it exceeded my expectations. Staff friendly and they tried their best to help when I had questions. It was also very convenient to have their breakfast as there was a great selection and it was tasty! Made for a good start to my days when I stayed there. There are many perks to this property and I believe other travellers mentioned the complimentary water bottle, which is a nice touch. The only thing I had some issues with is the wifi. It might have just been spotty in my room, but otherwise if you have E Sim or roaming to use when it’s spotty, then you’re fine. I thought that I would spend more time in the busy districts but actually spend a good few days just exploring the Ikebukuro area as there was lots to see around the hotel! (Or if you like to eat a 7-11s there is one steps away.) Would definitely recommend for anyone considering visiting Tokyo for the first time.

I absolutely loved my stay. The room was so comfortable and actually spacious. The location is perfect! Very convenient. The staff was incredible, very kind and open to communicate in english even if they had to use the translator too. They even called a taxi to the airport for me, which was a huge help! Thank you so much!

My First Taste Of Japan
This was my first time traveling to Japan and this was the perfect hotel for me to stay in while there. The room was big enough and had everything I could have wanted in it. Everything was always very clean even though they only came in to clean every 4 days, and every day they would supply you with a change of towels, water, tea/coffee and night clothes if you chose to wear them. The bed itself was just big enough for me and while it was pretty stiff, I feel like I slept well on it, often feeling refreshed the next morning. The laundry service they had was also quite nice as you could fill up a bag fora price and get the clothes back the next day. For such a long stay that came in handy. The people working at the hotel were all very friendly and even when there was a language barrier, we were able to communicate with the help of google translate which is great! The location of the hotel is also nice because it is pretty quiet there. It was also nice having a Lawson’s right next door to grab snacks whenever I needed them. All in all, I would definitely recommend travelers to stay there, especially if you’re from overseas. If I decide to stay in Ikebukuro again, I will definitely try to stay there again!

The staff at this hotel are amazing. Helpful and very nice. They accommodated us as best they could despite our mistake of booking a wrong room. And they were understanding and did their best despite some language barriers. Would recommend!

Perfect for this solo traveler. The room was small but cozy, I got the single bed room but that’s fine with me. Room was quiet and clean. Safe friendly and helpful. Cleaning only happens every 4th day but they cleaned mine on the 3rd. Towels refreshed every day. The Sunshine city mall is super close. Tons to do in this area. 7/11 and Lawson are right next to the hotel, restaurants down the street are great. Walking back to the hotel every night was fine, a few people out. There is an entrance to the subway a couple of minutes away. Would stay at again if I’m back in Tokyo.
