Building seems to be on the older side but the room was nice. Nothing broken. Wasn’t dirty. Overall a good experience. Location was the best thing. Would definitely stay here again.

Great place next to Subway tucked in around anything you want to see in Shinjuku
The rooms are tiny but that's standard in Japan. Never slept on a harder bed and there was a condom rapper in our room which hadn't been cleaned very well.
Good location, clean. It’s great to have a coffee shop on the ground floor. The windows are not sufficiently soundproofed. I wore ear plugs and was still woken up by sirens both nights. Perhaps it’s near a hospital.
Location is great, hotel is out of date, needs renovations. Smells old, it’s tiny, beds and pillows are terrible. Place is also under construction and no notice of this was given prior booking.
Hotel was really dirty, and really bad quality for a 2 star hotel as Japan usually maintains a very high standard even for 2 star hotels. The hotel is not run by Japanese staff. Hotel felt dirty, stains were all over carpet the carpets, walls of the hotel were chipped. Elevator had a smell and felt unclean. The bedskirt and bedsheets were also stained. Room walls had questionable stains as well, hooks had dust, and curtains did not fully close. The soap dispenser in the bathroom was not cleaned, there was a lot of old and dried soap piled at the dispensery opening. The shower curtain had dirty brown stains and there was orange mold and mildew in the showering area. Bathroom door also had stains. Hair dryer was also very dirty. I would not recommend this hotel for anybody. Other 2 star hotels in Japan are very impressive and clean. This one was quite disgusting. The lobby also felt very dirty.
Place was not clean (found multiple hairs in the bathroom). There was black mold on the bathroom sink and oddly placed coverups for damaged parts of the room.. Complained to staff and got a different room; however, it was still poorly cleaned. Won't stay here again.
The staff is friendly and helpful and always ready to help and the location is perfect. However, the rooms leave much to be desired and - in the summer - the poor quality of the air conditioning makes the conditions inside the room nearly unbearable. Otherwise a decent hotel for short-term stays
