APA hotel UENO EKIMINAMI is a wonderful, clean, reasonably priced hotel. My husband and I were very happy to have chosen this hotel. It’s very clean, great location, lots of dining and shopping options nearby. It’s also very close to the train station. Highly recommended.

Location of the hotel is good however this area is messy and noisy. Hotel service standard is far below industrial standard and front desk staff are quite impolite.

APA Ekiminami in Ueno is very convenient if you are travelling around Japan and going to and from Narita Airport. It is near Ueno station and has the JR office in it. Lots of shops, restaurants and cheap massage places. The staff are helpful and very nice.

Property was close to train stations and shopping areas and quiet. Space per room are quiet condensed and only good for single occupants. I was not able to manage to place my luggage under the bed as it was big. No laundry in the hotel but they are nice to tell you where to get self service laundry.

Location, location, location! This hotel is within minutes walk to Ueno JR, subway and Skyliner stations. It’s a major station so we can get around town/out of town with minimal transfers. Even though it’s in the middle of everything but it’s very quiet in the building, we couldn’t hear any noise from the traffic or other guests. The rooms are small but we only need the bed to sleep at night so no complaints there. We have no problem recommending this hotel to other friends and family when they stay in Tokyo.

I loved the location of this hotel! It was very convenient to transportation, dining and an easy walk to Ueno Park. The room is small but that is typical for Tokyo. Note they are very strict about check in time but do allow you to store bags. Room cleaning is every few days but they leave a fully stocked bag on your door. Overall this was a great stay for a week!
