A good hotel with a strategic location, close to train, subway, park, zoo, great museums, street commerce, fun, restaurants etc Overpriced ( room rate and breakfast) compared to the regular fees in APA hotels network. The black furniture în the room makes traces of dust în the corners obvious.

Convenience aplenty.
Well situated hotel near Ameyoko Shopping district. First trip to Tokyo, so the simplicity of easy walk to the Ueno station (as well as other lines) and Keisei Skyliner was perfect. Ueno Park and pond nearby. Older neighborhood, but perfect for budget traveller not needing the flash and glitz of say Shubuya or Shinjuku. The Beef Stand restaurant downstairs breakfast buffet was simple, but very convenient. Staff were efficient and friendly. Would easily stay here again on next visit.

The room was tiny as usual. Perfect location, loads of restaurants around. No housekeeping for first 3 days, but they will hang a bag of toiletries items on your door handle.

Nice pillow
It has the most comfy pillow of all the hotels I've ever stayed. They don't sell it on site, but you can buy from Amazon JP. My room was the typical APA ensuite room with earth-quake-proof bathroom. It's not large, but good enough if you just need a bed to sleep well. Staffs were nice, patient, and efficient. I typed my requests on google translate and showed them. While they reacted lovely and politely, my demands were still handled with speed. Professional indeed. You no longer have 1 bottle of water (with the boss' photo on it) every night..... I came for that. Another minus one's for the crumbled biscuits under the bed, which I believe had been there for quite a long while, on my arrival.
