Nice hotel with good facilities (except for the dirty/spotted carped) with very nice staff. Unfortunately the surrounding area of the hotel is depressing, it looks like a abandoned city. No shops for kilometres, not a restaurant, not a terrace. Perfect hotel for travelers.

Hotel not central, but did a job. Room was a bit tired, with very thin pillows. Appeared to have been some movement/subsidence in the building, as my room had a line of cracked tiles in the bathroom and in the pillar in main room.

Quick visit
Arriving late at night we used this as a stop off before our journey the following day. Despite arriving very late at night we had an excellent welcome from the receptionist and overall found the staff to be extremely helpful. The room was very spacious and there was a lovely communal balcony off the first landing.

Exceptional service
I stayed for one night during a business trip to Timisoara. Check-in was very flexible, I arrived around 10am and got the room immediately, no questions asked. The room was spacious and the bathroom had all the necessary amenities, including shaving and dental kits. The hotel is a bit out of the way if you want to walk to the city centre, but taxis are cheap and the staff are more than willing to order one for you. Walking downtown is also possible, partly along a nice riverside promenade, but it would take about an hour. I travelled with my French bulldog and the hotel was pet friendly, he was very well treated. In fact, the most impressive thing about the hotel was the service. From the moment we arrived I felt very welcome. The staff really know customer-service. I got all the information needed to find my way around. The cherry on top of the cake: breakfast is served at weekends from 8am, but because I had to leave early the following morning, around 7am, the lady at the reception desk (possibly the owner) actually called the kitchen staff and asked them to come in already at 6:30 to prepare breakfast - only for me - so that I would not need to leave without a morning meal. I found this exceptionally friendly and well beyond what I would normally expect of a hotel. Overall, I would definitely stay here again, if not for the view, for the unparalleled service.

The front desk lady and the woman in the kitchen were absolutely fantastic! They went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and make our stay memorable! The breakfast service was welcoming before our flight out of the area. Thank you!

Convenient between downtown and the airport
The hotel is clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff does an exceptional job in making sure that your stay is a pleasant one. The traditional breakfast buffet is of excellent quality and great variety. I would definitely recommend Hotel Vandia and plan to stay here again when I return to Timisoara.

This is my second stay at this hotel. The staff is helpful and accommodating. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The location is very convenient between the airport and the city center, but is wonderfully quiet!

The hotel has very warm and helpful staff. The room is very clean and is quit spacious; the bed is comfortable and large; the neighbourhood is quite. Overall, we had an enjoyable stay and we loved the hotel very much!

I rarely take the time to comment on hotels but am glad to on this occasion. The Vandia was perfect, especialy for early morning flights due to its' proximity to the airport. I would particularly like to praise the staff. The lady receptionist was exceptionally efficient and helpful - very impressive. Room was spot-on. Surrounding neighbourhood is not relevant as it is primarily an airport convenient option.

We booked 2 hotel rooms through expedia for our family of 6. The only choices of room reservation was king size beds although it said the room slept 3. When we arrived, they changed us over to 2 twin beds and provided an extra bed for no additional cost. Extremely helpful and spoke wonderful English. No problem with wireless internet or parking. There was a lot of road construction on the street coming toward the hotel, but staff was great to give directions how to get around it. The only downside was that the original expedia reservation said breakfast was included, but when the room was booked, it said breakfast was not included. The paperwork that the hotel received from expedia showed no b'fast so we were out. We could have paid 4 euro per person, but for that much we decided to go elsewhere. Very easy drive to mall and town center. Parking around center hard to find.

My brother and I just stayed here
My brother and I stayed at this hotel. We loved staying here because: 1. We got a quiet night of sleep. I was listening for cars and couldn't hear any. it was completely relaxing and very quiet. 2. Easy access to rooms; especially with large suitcases. 3. Small place yet very modern and recently remodelled. 4. Owners were awesome. They answered all our questions and I even asked him if I can leave my laptop and electronics in the room. He said its safe, so I took a chance. Nothing happened. 5. I was sceptical about visiting Timisoara, did not know what to expect and wanted a safe place to leave my car overnight in a private spot. Parking here is worry-free. 6. Did i mention the owner was awesome? He answered all our questions and even gave us good directions to Iulius mall. 7. Very clean Some people complain about the breakfast. If you want a huge breakfast with pancakes, and muffins, and eggs, and sausage, etc.... then you should not stay here. We are not heavy breakfast eaters, the croissants, the many jams,eggs, salami, cheeses, toast, fruits, juices, etc... were sufficient for us. I would definitely stay here again, it was a fantastic experience. And yes, they do have coffee and tea too :)

Nice place to stay near the airport. Some small problems with the room (e.g., bad internet access, a few non-working lights, fuzzy cable, etc.), but the staff was incredibly helpful and made the stay very pleasant. The second time I stayed, all the of room problems had been fixed.
