Gorgeous older hotel handy to many amenities. Walking distance to shopping. 3 star property that was better than a lot of other similarly rated properties. Recent refurbishment of rooms. Staff friendly and accomodating. No issue with arranging late check out for us for our day of departure.

Staff were very accommodating, allowing me to change my booking date after a late change to a business meeting and allowed me to continue using the carpark for that business meeting after I had check out. The hotel appears to be part way through a renovation. The ensuite was very dated but it was nice and clean with a nice hot shower. I will stay there again.

The room was tiny and really needed a face lift. There was paint peeling from the ceiling and mildew on the walls with zero sound proofing.

Central location but dirty carpets and bugs in the room with a window that could not close and leaking sink and a shower that flooded the room when first turned on despite careful placement. Great water pressure!

Great start but very Noisy!
It's a lovely old building. The renovated room I had was great. No complaints. A nice roast meal, very homely and great value. Service at reception and restaurant was friendly and efficient. My biggest problem was the Noise! The port is so close and the was working all night. I didn't get more than 45 mins of uninterrupted sleep all night. Then at 4.45 it was like somebody had a Leaf blower cleaning the pavement , could have been street cleaning. Either way the noise reduction isn't enough in such a busy area. Any one that is a light sleeper will have the same issue I had. I finally drifted off to sleep at 6.30 and then the renovation in the next room started hammering and working at 7.30am Would love to support a gem like this, but too hard like it is ! Please work on the sound proofing, double glazing or something !!

The room was super clean and comfortable. The hotel had easy parking across the street and the location is very convenient to shopping and dining. The dining room/bar downstairs was great with very personable staff. We highly recommend!
