I had to check out earlier than planned. Both quartz and Expedia pointed fingers regarding issuing a credit or canceling and refunding my prepaid 13 nights. Three days later they both denied a refund or credit, cheating me out of 12 nights. They most likely rebooked my room after I left. Quartz Hotel and Spa is without a doubt the best hotel in Tijuana. My family and I were super impressed with the cleanliness of it and how beautiful everything is. The location is great and we felt super safe walking around the area. I won’t be staying anywhere else when I visit Tijuana. Easy access to food options. There is a parking fee per day, but it's not outrageous and your car is safely underground. Overall the hotel was nice. There were just a few hiccups, but it didn't ruin our stay. Parking attendants and restaurant servers wanted particular paperwork from the front desk (which the front desk had either not given or printed incorrectly) and, instead of speaking with the front desk themselves about the issue, made it our problem to go back to the front desk and fix. Just a bit of an annoyance. Also, there was an obvious blood stain on the underside of one of the bed comforters we hadn't noticed until the morning we checked out. Gross.

The only bad thing was the air conditioner. It was way too hot in the room, it only cooled off during the night. Other than that, I really enjoyed my stay there.
