Good location free parking...the room was spacious and comfortable but some rooms are better at first I got a king size snall room without a desk table and a chair very small and you could not work on your tablet cause there was no table just a bed. I went down to change it and got it exchange for a very specious king bed room with a table desk and a chair . I would go back there if I need to be in the area.

I booked 2 rooms for myself and a friend.We arrived at the hotel a around 11:00 am and were told that it would be $25. charge per room for early checkin. We each had 1 small bag so asked if we could just leave the bags somewhere until checkin at 2:00pm the answer was a flat NO! Not wanting carry our bags around TJ we opted to pay the fee for one room. Upon getting to the room we found that the key didn't work so after two more trips down to the front desk on their very very slow elevator we got into the room to find that the safe didn't work and there were towels or wash clothes. The room was nice and clean though. But my room smelled bad. They offered to give me some glade. Later that night I realized the source of the smell was because my heating and a/c unit was not working and the was no windows to open the air was very stale and and my room was very cold. I booked these rooms because of the good reviews they had. Don't believe it!! I wouldn't stay here again at any cost. I travel to Mexico often and have been spoiled by the Ticuan hotel, it's a little more expensive but oh so worth it and honestly after they nickel and dimed us for checkin and breakfast there was no savings at all. Beware that they have 3 other hotels close by but west plaza had the best ratings??

Staff and rooms are always usually clean...but alot of the rooms have a sewage smell or smoke smell. The sewage smell comes from the sink..someone came and changed the pipe but it still smells. Must not have a p trap which keeps the smell from coming back up the pipes. Very unhealthy smell and disgusting. Be sure to check out your room first so you can switch if it smells.
