I was a little hesitant on booking this motel. The pictures I saw were not that great. But I'm so glad I chose it. Haileybury Beach Motel was a great choice. The room was great. The view and proximity to the lake was amazing. The couple who run the Motel were friendly, kind, and helpful.

Directly on the water with access to a public beach next door and waterfront park, this vintage motel is fabulous. Its inviting from the outside and even better inside. The rooms are super clean and comfy, the owners are friendly and helpful. There's chairs outside, so you can watch the water and maybe chat with your neighbour. If you're looking for luxury, go elsewhere, but with fridge, microwave, coffee maker and breakfast, this is absolutely perfect for travelers looking to support the private owner while experiencing an economical option with a vintage vibe.

We did not like our room but were told they were full. The whole point of staying there was a view of the water but we were in a corner room with windows that only faced the back and side with the view of grass that was 2 feet high. Those windows had cheap blinds that let the light in at 5 am whereas other rooms that faced the water had blackout curtains. The breakfast that was included, although made fresh, offered no choice. Egg McMuffins with either bacon or sausage, hash browns, coffee, tea or juice. There were no other alternatives like cereal, yoghurt, toast or fruit like many other places offer. There is no eating area so you have to take a tray back to your room. Staff were pleasant. Location is by the water so you can walk around the waterfront. For what we experienced, it was overpriced compared to others in the area.

Great view, nice town, and excellent service
Took a long weekend exploring Temiskaming Shores and decided on this waterfront motel in Haileybury, which is right in the middle and on Lake Temiskaming. A picturesque little town; the services are all in New Liskeard to the north, but only a scenic ten-minute drive up the shore. While the rooms are small, they have been renovated and have what you need in them. The big bonus was the owners' takeaway Indian menu you could order, which was some of the best Indian food we've had in Northern Ontario (there's a lot more such food up here now). So if you stay here, plan to eat in. The breakfast options are also affordable and filling. There's a great view over the town's marina onto the lake. The town is quiet, and it was priced affordably. Would definitely recommend this motel.

A really nice, unpretentious place to stay. It's right across the street from a swimming area and has a great view of the lake. Breakfast was simple, but homecooked and good.

We have been to Haileybury many times but never stayed here. It was such a delight and we will be back for sure! We especially enjoyed the restaurant which has an amazing menu of veg and meat Indian dishes. The owners are lovely and made sure we had breakfast-to-go … even though we were a little late to get up!
