Great staff!

homely feel

Pros: Great looking location and homely touch
Cons: Was satisfied with everything
Location: Very close to the beach and centre
Had a delightful 2 week stay here. Room/bed very comfortable. Breakfast plentiful and good choice. Staff polite and helpful particularly front of house staff

Die Unterkunft lag sehr zentral. Aufschlag für eine bessere Aussicht kann man sich sparen, da es rund um das Hotel grosse Baustellen hat. Sonst alles da, aber eher ein wenig schmuddelig.

I am happy you appreciated our central and convenient location. Unfortunately, the construction in the area is beyond our control and I apologize that the view was not what you had expected. The new skyscrapers in our horizon only partially block views of the sea. Thankfully we still have a very nice view of the sea even though it is not as open as it was before. Das Hotel Gilgal ist meines Erachtens nach guter Durchschnitt. Es ist sehr hochpreisig. Die Lage ist ideal - nur ca. 3 Minuten bis zum Strand. Die Bilder, die eBookers benutzt und die auch auf der Website vom Hotel Gilgal gezeigt werden, sollten erneuert werden. Der Meerblick, den man von einigen Zimmern haben soll, ist mittlerweile sehr eingeschränkt, da gleich zwei Hochhäuser gebaut wurden, zwischen denen man ein kleines Stück vom Meer erkennen kann. Das Frühstücksbüffet ist sehr gut - die Dachterrasse mit Blick auf mehrere Baustellen hingegen nicht. Die Lobby des Hotels ist schön eingerichet und man kann sich dort jederzeit heiße Getränke oder auch kaltes Wasser nehmen. Ebenso stehen Badehandtücher für den Strandbesuch zur Verfügung.

Wir haben bei der Anmeldung ausdrücklich gewünscht, dass wir drei getrennte Betten haben werden. Als wir eintrafen, fanden wir ein Doppelbett vor, welches nicht mehr geändert werden konnte. Nuriel Oskar war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, er hat uns dann zwei Bettdecken beschafft, was uns dann einigermassen befriedigte.

Please, do avoid this hotel if you can. I do not recommend Hotel Gilgal. They do not know what is deluxe and they do not make it hapend. Maintance is poor - way under stantards. Ensimmäisessä "deluxe-huoneessa" oli huomattavan paljon pölyä kaikkialla ja ilmastoinnista taisi tulla koko ajan lisää, koska valkoiset lakanat olivat täynnä hiuksia ja mustaa kuonaa. Saimme ensimmäiseksi yöksi uudet puhtaammat lakanat. Kun aamulla näytin valokuvia muista huoneen ongelmakohdista, meille tarjottiin saman 5. kerroksen toista "deluxe-huonetta" ja otimme sen vastaan. Koska kaksi päivää olivat hyvinkin tuulisia ja sateisia, huomasin toisen yön aamuna vettä lattialla ja myöhemmin iltasella vedenvalumat kaapissa - löytäen hyllyistä täysin märät, vettyneet lisäpeitot ja tyynyt. Vesi oli kuitenkin valunut seinää pitkin lattialle asti vettäen jalkalistat - vettä tirsui esiin lattialankkujen alta... soaking wet. Jälleen ratkaisuna ongelmakohtiin oli huoneen vaihtaminen. Tällä kertaa se oli 4. kerroksessa ja kyseessä ei enää ollut huonevaraustamme vastaava deluxe-huone vaan ns. superior-tasoinen huone (vähemmän neliöitä, huonommat patjat). Tuuli vinkuin ikkunoista ja verhot heiluivat, veto tuntui kehossa. Joulukuussa tuntemukset olivat epämieluisia. Siivous- ja keittiöhenkilökunnalla ei taida olla riittävästi aikaa huolelliseen palveluun. Kaikkialla oli epäsiistiä. Jos pienet asiat olisivat olleet kunnossa, niin olisi voinut sietää paremmin 10 vuoden aikana kiinteistöön tulleet puutteet.

I personally attended to you after you complained about your room, as you explained to me that you have a dust allergy and therefore are extra sensitive to dust. Because of this I made a special arrangement to give you a second Deluxe room which was meticulously examined and cleaned for you. I regret to learn that your experience was nevertheless not in keeping with our standards. Your comments regarding our customer service are surprising in light of the effort made to make you comfortable, however we value this feedback and will use it for our self-evaluation and improvement process.

Überbucht

Angekommen, eingecheckt und dann informiert, dass Hotel überbucht sei und wir umquartiert werden. Alternative war ok, trotzdem eine Sauerei, dass das passiert
